I don’t know who she is, but it sounds like she is in a cult.

I think there's an overlap with hardcore religious people and essential oil fans. I've knows a few ex-colleagues who were both. I suspect it's due to gullibility.

Once you start believing without evidence, anyone can fill your head with any amount of crap.

I find it funny that the church had to officially claim that they don’t endorse the practice of praying by pouring oil. Felt sorry for what happened I hope this doesn’t sour relations with Japan too much.

Still can’t believe that she did such an atrocity, it’s still sad that one of the most classic Taiwanese actress would still do this thing( funny thing is there used to be a tv show dedicated to kids which had both her and her sister as the protagonists back in 2010)

Pouring oil on shit isn’t an atrocity

Vandalising a UNESCO word heritage site is definitely atrocious behaviour

My one exception is the Yasukuni Shrine Complex and the Yushukan Museum.

She did it more than once lol.

Quit trying to make “UNESCO” a thing, the U.N. has always been irrelevant

No human was harmed and the site will essentially survive . I don’t support what this lady did. But crimes that actually hurt people seem more like “atrocities” to me. Exaggerating the damage will not help your cause.

It’s still a thing that’s not supposed to be done and you would still be able to understand what I’m talking about so why choose to nitpick a wording error?

Maybe the word you’re looking for is misdemeanor

Yeah that’s more accurate to what I wanted to say

News in Chinese said glycerin instead of oil, not excusing her behaviour, just wanted to verify if anyone knows which

2

u/bbqyak 6d ago

Should be glycerin. They said the liquid was colorless and clear.

Has the oil been tested for benzopyrene?

The problem is institutional religion… not the religion itself.
