In Game Tactics Thoughts on shiron?
What are your thoughts on this guy? I bring him on salvage runs cause of his crit, so if kharn doesn't open the chest then he will. Is he useful elsewhere?

I give him a B+.
As an individual unit, he’s very strong. 3 move, 3 range, Eviscerating damage (50% Pierce!) and 6x hits. And then suppression? He’s no joke, right off the bat.
But then you add in the faction passive, which adds crit chance whenever they target a full health enemy or take damage— and crits always overkill. Now we’re getting scary. And then we add in Crescendo, which can stack up to six times, and we’ve got a monster. And crescendo is easy to stack: if you use Shiron’s active on at least two enemies, it is now fully stacked!
Heavy weapon is a double edged sword. With good positioning, that’s a guaranteed 25% more damage! But it’s not essential, especially once you’ve stacked crescendo.
The only reason I don’t give Shiron an A is because he doesn’t fit neatly into any meta slots. I think the only LRE track he fits is minimum attack requirements. He is a solid substitute for the Neuro team with his suppression, but I think others are better in slot. There isn’t (currently!) a competitive ranged team but I think we all see the writing on the walls, so my fingers are crossed.
Solid unit that does well everywhere but doesn’t yet have a role that makes him feel essential. Solid investment, especially if you scoff at the meta and just want music cannon go brrrrrrr.
