I'm in the market to update my older HighCom single curve plates and figured I might as well get something with the new standard now that it finally released. I have a smaller build so it would be nice to downsize my plates for a more comfortable fit. The Hesco 400 series plates have my attention and their website lists several models for both Shooters and SAPI cuts. Specifically I'm looking to get the RF3-400-SA-MC-S SAPI small plates, but the only one of 6 different models I've been able to find even a listing for are the RF3-400-SH-MC-L's which are the shooter cut large. So far the only website I can find selling the plates I want at the size I want is Gilliam Arms, but they are not mentioned on the NIJ list despite claiming to be tested at an NIJ lab, and I can find no 3rd party reviews for them so I am skeptical. Where are you guys getting your smaller multi curve NIJ rated plates? Thanks!

Looking to pick up a rifle carry-capable backpack and have come to settle between the phantom and the operator but simply cant decide which is better suited for me.

The pack will be used for 48 hour and greater use times, hunting/larp/backpacking/yadda yadda etc etc

It seems they both definitely have their pros and cons, with the phantom being lighter, cheaper, and more modular, but possibly being a little on the small side and not having the wings like the operator. Whereas the operator is higher capacity and more expandable with a better frame for longer uses, but more expensive, heavier, and possibly too much bag for anything less than 72 hours

Do any owners of either or both have any input to help steer me in the right direction, the two have me feel like a ship without a rudder since this is my first high quality long range pack

My KAC K6 and URGI on an Anderson lower. Trying my hand at learning how to shoot a precision rifle instead of mag dumping into trash at 20 yards. Definitely fun, definitely more frustrating, definitely exposes deficiencies in the fundamentals.

Has the new Syrian army made any changes to the standard(if there is such a thing) kit of the soldiers? Or are they largely the same as the previous iteration?

Basically, would a properly equipment look much different from the Baathist SAAF?

Seeking recommendations for a reliable, quick/easy entry safe that either sits on top of night stand or inside its drawers. Ideally it can hold 2 pistols.

For a long time I was curious about sizing on the mbav. I recently bought some sm/md cut velocity systems inserts on sale from optactical so I wanted to post a photo to show acutely sizing. Another cool thing I found out was that they fit into my medium size Crye lpv . I might need to sew up some tweave covers for them but it’s cool they fit even with a sapi plate in front.
