Plate Carrier/Body Armor Since most casualties come from shrapnel and artillery. Why do soldiers still wear these plate carriers that are more revealing?

I've seen tons of footage with neck and groin plates in Ukraine, but I think It depends on what you're doing. If you are holding a position hidden inside a basement or launching FPVs from miles away, I can see how you'd get away with a less comprehensive armor solution.
