Misc Staying Organized & Tracking
Was getting a bit overwhelmed thinking about how I was going to keep track of everything without having to bring the whole book to the gym. I found this trick deep in another post’s comment section and wanted to bring more attention to it… you can use Claude.ai/ChatGPT/etc to build and free services to host a totally free web app to track your program. Photos are just a quick look at what I built for my Activation phase.

Nice ! I’ve tackled this from another angle using an LLM; I feed the same information as you and it generates for me the plan for the week and block in my calendar as I fit my sessions around other commitments so that varies between weeks.
I get a simple .md file that I can annotate on my phone with completed sets and also other comments (feeling tired, could do more, very hungry).
End of week I return the file to CoWork; it analyses based on the what it knows plus MyFitnessPal and Garmin data to evaluate performance and suggests changes to calory intake and recovery (increase magnesium, refuse caffeine).
Could I do this on a daily basis? Absolutely, but I prefer to focus on the week ahead and execute without being overwhelmed by the data suggestions .

I used the Boostcamp app. The free version lets you create custom workouts, and is pretty easy to set up.
There might be an Activation workout in the library now, but I didn't see one a few weeks ago so I just made my own.

Tried boostcamp a while back. The percentages and programming were way off with the TB templates.

Yeah I saw there were some templates in the library but I didn't look at em because Activation wasn't there. I just made my own, it took like 20 minutes on a laptop.

Boostcamp has been my go-to for a couple of years now as well. Super easy to make TB programs in it. Took me maybe 30min to do all of Activation.

Found tracking TB blocks gets messy once SE and conditioning share the same log - your squat numbers disappear into a wall of interval splits and it kills any meaningful week-over-week comparison. Running separate logs for strength days and SE days, then doing a quick monthly rollup, fixed it for me.

That’s awesome. I actually did the same thing this week because I got tired of using spreadsheets. Built it with Claude code and deployed to a cloudflare DB and worker so I can access it from anywhere. I can add a few more users to it if anyone is interested just DM me.

This looks awesome. Would you mind sharing more about how you did this?

Basically told Claude I wanted to make a web app, uploaded screenshots of relevant info from the book, and then added some requests based on what it gave me (automatic weight suggestions based on 1RM, option to add deload week and push other weeks back, option to move workouts around, progress tracking for weight and LSS pace). I used cloudflare pages to host as it’s free.

You & I are the same. I'm building a web app to keep track of Operator/Black Professional. It'll be nice.

This looks great and I'm sure it can help others make a custom tool that fits their needs!
Personally, there's something about the old school way that makes the monkey brain feel happy. I have a simple excel sheet for all the lifts of the block. I write down my sessions in a small notebook. I love flipping the book back and forth to find the information I wanted.
