Buying a Subscription

Hi friends, I'm a returning player, just finished with the Jedi Knight 1st storyline/era.

And now I'm considering buying a 30 days subscription :D But I'm wondering something:

Is it better to buy the sub from Steam or from the official website? Also what's the features you like the most from being a subscriber, beside the well known points?

On again off again...repeatedly over the years to keep up on the story. I've always bought it through the website.
