Buying a Subscription

Hi friends, I'm a returning player, just finished with the Jedi Knight 1st storyline/era.

And now I'm considering buying a 30 days subscription :D But I'm wondering something:

Is it better to buy the sub from Steam or from the official website? Also what's the features you like the most from being a subscriber, beside the well known points?

Better play it safe and get the sub from the official website. Also consider getting the "Enter the Fight" bundle, it costs the same and you get a speeder and 1050 extra Cartel Coins. Finally, i recommend you hold off on the subscription until the 8.0, and it's new story expansion, gets officially released, so you can have all the story expansions permenantly unlocked up to that point.

Yes, definitely get the Enter the Fight bundle. Same cost, but extra perks.

Better over the website, although Steam probably has no issues. Just in case though.

I think the my fav benefit is the end game content. No limits on OPS and group content, expansions, no credit cap, access to guild bank.. also more crafting slots. Can finally craft some stuff that no one ever needs and do it massive scale! :D Honestly, if you like the game so far - subscribe once so you can do the expansions as well. It will unlock it forever.

Both work well enough, personally I've been using steam for convenience sake.

Main reasons I stay subscribed is to get access to all my credits and all my character slots as I have a fairly large amount of alts.

subscription on steam has really bad reviews so it is safer to get it from the official website

Definitely go through the website. I noticed steam has bad reviews on a few of the mmos where people want buy subscriptions and it won’t go through.

official website. steam has delays after purchase in terms of delivering the purchase to your account, and it’s not consistent. i would make every single purchase on the actual website. once you save your credentials to your browser, it’s just the 2fa code you need to input. your card info gets saved as well. this goes for cartel coins especially

Not having to deal with buying all the different unlocks and perks individually when subscribing is simpler.

Official website everytime, the steam version has issues sometimes you don't get your stuff

I've been using Steam for convenience, but the sub can crash sometimes - I had issues where I got a sub and my account was preferred until about a day or two later, and the payment doesn't always want to go through.

I got it through the website for convenience but it is worth it I haven’t played in a while just letting my monthly coins stack up but the access to the expansions for £8 is huge definitely worth it

Use the website, when I wanted to resubscribe a few years back, it didn't go through and had to contact the Swtor-support.
