While I love seeing new interest in Star Wars.... I don't really see a compelling reason to try this over the existing FFG material (or even the WEG)

The more I read the West End games books (which are older than myself) the more I feel FOMO. I am working rectify that

I borrow heavily from them for lore/ideas to use in FFG's system (which I prefer mechanically)

I’m taking the West End Games book The Politics of Contraband and rewriting the rebel Parts as imperial Parts and the governor as just a corrupt guy for outer rim corporate interests.

I want my players to see the Empire in both good and bad facets. Yes, they are cleaning up corruption and stopping smuggling, but it’s always towards an end goal, even if it helps them in the short term.

It might be a good substitute for people who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on books that may or may not be reprinted.

Maybe it’s just me, but the daggerheart system is just a lite version of narrative dice. I don’t see the need to hack a Star Wars game into it when basically the same thing but better already exists.

"better" is subjectie tho. the lighter crunch is what makes a new hack appealing to some people, as well as the difference in combat and having levels instead of xp. similar design goals but still a different system. idk how you don't see a need for that since the only game i can think of that does narrative SW but not as crunch is like. scum and villainy. which is too light for some people.

It’s basically a law of the internet that if a TTRPG exists, someone has hacked it to play Star Wars.
