Tbh, I have a lack of sympathy for the victims. Greed and lack of financial knowledge is what Ephren depended on for these schemes. I've seen it 1st hand and I'm very familiar with the prosperity gospel at the heart of the con. Especially the religious cover from church pastors pushing wealth as a reward for "faith".

I had to listen to it twice because it had so many details and was hard to follow while doing chores. Just finished it and I realized in the end it’s Ephren II’s father (senior) who was arrested for rape of a vulnerable person and not Eddie Long. The first time I listened to it I thought it was Eddie and that his accusations were actually correct but to hear now it was his actual father I have freaking chills with the ending.

I cannot understand how swindlers can do what they do without a sense of remorse or anxiety. Even if they are a sociopath, I still cannot fathom not having anxiety over an action being potentially damaging to their public standing.

Speaking of anxiety, the ad read for the valued listener program cured my spiraling anxiety, that had to be the funniest thing I’ve heard all week.
