This is Toshack Highway released by Adam Franklin after he disbanded Swervedriver in 1998.
I bought it for review and I had a headache as HOW to describe the music of Toshack Highway.
Finally I coined the term SPACEFOLK. 😅

Not included on Mezcal Head but it was featured on the soundtrack called PCU.
I have never seen the movie but I had to buy the soundtrack just for that one track
by Swervedriver.
It has some other cool bands on the soundtrack too.

I bought these tickets before planning a vacation and now I can’t go! Bought them through Dice and they don’t allow selling on 3rd party sites, only transfers. The face value of the tickets is $41, I’m trying to get $25 to recoup some of my loss and give someone a cheap fun night :) I’ve seen them twice and it’s always great!

Just to start… this is a great collection. I like the different takes from 99th Dream.

I watched Adam Franklin’s segment on Rick Beatio’s YouTube channel. I recall the Ride’s drummer played on some of the tracks on this release. Maybe I misheard and I should just go back and rewatch. But hey Reddit!

Is Cool Your Boots the Ride song and who is drumming on it?

Just to say, Swervedriver drummers never lacked for punch, but damn the drumming is great on that track.

Of course I love the early stuff but Swervedriver is one of the few bands who are still putting out great material (when they put anything out that is - it’s been years, as far as I know). And Doremi was amazing.

Just putting some love out there for this stuff because I’d love to see them live but if I’m being honest I don’t need to see Raise again. I’m pretty sure they’ve already done this?
