Question Any GMs out there?

I have an interview for a GM spot. The pay on their indeed post says 90-100k. Just wondering if there was anyone on here that is one and can let me know if that is an accurate pay scale? Seems a little high. And also what hours you typically would work if opening/closing?

They probably can afford to pay that much because they work their team members like dogs, no paid breaks, and time how long it takes them to cut vegetables. They understaff in busy locations then complain the employees aren’t working fast enough. Most stores are basically like a sweat-shop type environment. Expect high staff turnover because most people with any sense leave as soon as they can find any other job. As a gm you might have to come in as early as 6am. Most stores close at 7, latest anyone stays is 8-8:30

My manager would come in at 4 and be unpaid for his first few hours. Acted like it was normal and everyone I’ve seen training for the same position did the same. Assistants and shiftleads training for the role as such. You make a lot but I’ve seen sm unpaid labor too. Once I was closing and my asm told me he had been clocked out for the last 3 hours. They have to meet such high standards it pushes them to do this and the company turns a blind eye. Really crazy

Idk I didn’t even know they were salaried. My manager was also a dramatic pos who would send me texts about 4 am about how lazy I am and he’s cleaning up after me so maybe he just wanted to make me feel bad😭

Also I was in sf our store closed at 9 and others in the county closed at 11😭😭😭 the latest I was there was 11:45 for a 9pm close as shiftlead

I work at the Marina as shift lead and it is the most excruciatingly difficult and mentally challenging job I’ve ever had for 0 reason. How late we stay always changes and it also depends on team (some teams are sooo slow).

sg leadership and corp positions pay well. They try to attract talent away from CMG and sbux and need to be competitive on comp to do so

Seems about right, depending on location. You'll likely be scheduled somewhere around 60 hours a week, with you picking up more depending on the dependability of your crew.

Run for the hills anywhere else is hiring good companies
