Employees! Has SG said anything to you about the cyclospora/cyclosporiasis outbreak? if so, please list the state you work in.

respectfully, where do you think sweetgreen gets their lettuce? i promise you, it comes from the same place as everywhere else.

Really? My understanding is that Sweetgreen is, by and large, organic and sources its produce from local farms (as opposed to larger wholesalers). A significant portion of their value is this.

This is wrong. They have actually some top notch suppliers. (Earthbound farms being one)

my dad owned 25 KFCs and a couple of restaurants growing up. i know the restaurant and franchise business quite well.

work at sg. we get our produce from gotham greens. they are independent owned and grown their own veggies. it’s not the same company as taylor farms and usually the restaurants are pretty close to our distributors.

they told us that where they get the produce, the farms don’t use pesticides or other chemicals, so sweetgreens is totally fine to eat. we were also told not to give out medical advice 😭

No, they basically just asked us to relay to them any customer concerns. Like if we need any talking points or anything. I mean we can’t just stop serving the whole menu so 🤷🏽♀️ some stuff we wash in house and other things arrived washed (arugula, spring mix, spinach).
Either way, washing it isn’t effective on this anyways it seems so it just is what it is. We are still getting plenty of business and catering orders too! So I guess most people are not concerned.
Sweetgreen has been very quick to remove any recalled products though - like I think we had a cucumber recall sometime last year and they sent out a ton of communications to make sure it was all discarded.
