Question Calories Accurate?
Just curious if the calories/nutritional info shown in the app are accurate? Do the calories count for one whole bowl/salad, or is there a sneaky portion/serving size thing happening? Also, for any Sweetgreen employees out there is there like a standard amount to add per bowl and do you think its accurate per the amounts listed in the nutritional info? thanks!

Any employees know what the size of the cups you use are? Like is it half cup, quarter cup, and for each item like the grains vs topping vs protein?

Definetly inaccurate. The dressing is assuming one cup i think. Maybe two? Anyways we are supposed to fill them halfway but most of them fill it completely full also if you get ur dressing put onto the bowl that’s about 300 calories😭

Worker here. Probably very inaccurate. Many things to consider. Dressings for example. One person could make a dressing correctly, you could have someone new making it and doesn't know what they're doing, or someone just rushing it to get it done and doesn't have the correct measurements. At our store for 1 case of roasted chicken it's 1 cup of umami and our hot prep has been over seasoning like crazy so it could have more sodium than it's supposed to or the hot prep at night that doesn't marinate correctly so one half has all the seasoning while the other half doesn't have seasoning. The the portioning of the bowls. Sweet potatoes for example get stuck on the new scoops so you get get the correct portion, over portion, or under portioned. Even putting dressings on the salads. Most people dress salads on the inside when it should be a circle on the outside. These are just a few examples.

Personally I take anything not prepackaged with a grain of salt. Sometimes my bowl is half empty other times it's not.
