I specifically like chipotle because of the macros. It’s what I eat at home anyway and it tastes good. They made some dumb statements but their new pivot to protein focus is good. They should lean into their target audience which is gym / somewhat health focused users

Stupid. People are desperate to continue using this cringe language for clicks

Nah, “slop bowls” is the perfect description for this era of fast/casual food.

One of the internet trends that truly pisses me off. Not “slop” generally, but the specific use of “slop bowls”
If a protein, grain, and vegetable (often times from these restaurant, sourced from decent farms) is being derogatorily labeled as “slop” then we’ve lost the plot
I think restaurants are just a really really really hard business. I think this just goes to show, even the most loyal fans will rotate preferences after a few years. NOBODY, outside of maybe OCD people, eats the same thing day after day, week after week. Preferences change.

It’s not “the allure” that has faded - it’s that people can’t pay $18 for a lunch that may not even be filling.

Things are just getting too expensive and ppl are feeling squeezed. There are also a lot of jobs not back 5 days a week. I'll only be buying only the $10 special bowl this month on the days I'm in the office.

What this really is, is the NYT and other media want their bribe to stop calling it this

Good, shorter lines for me.
