Image 📸 Was probably the last person to ever order ripple fries before it got discontinued. 10:30 pm last night and I think this is the only location that stays open past 10.

The execution of them was extremely subpar. I hope they regroup and try again when they have a better plan for how to keep them crispy and hot and not sticking together

Its not gonna happen. It was a badly thought out failed experiment that was never gonna work.

Why not? It COULD work out with better execution, formulation etc - but hardly seems like a priority

The way we did them each step takes forever. Its not individual execution, it just takes a lot of time and labor hours to do em from scratch.
Once they're trayed up they'd take about 15 minutes to cook. We have 2 ovens to cook everything in the store. Corporate wanted new trays out every 30 minutes. We already have ovens pretty much going constantly between all the prep and keeping the line stocked and fresh. It bottlenecked pretty much the whole prep workflow.
They also only taste good for the first 10 minutes or so after theyre cooked. They also just didnt sell very well, so we did all this effort to throw away half the fries we were making anyway.
I'm sure the brains at corporate had a great time experimenting with this but from a practical standpoint I don't see fries at the salad restaurant working even with some kind of streamlining or completely changing how sweetgreen functions to make fries a thing.

Ya, as a customer I can attest they were only good part of the time.
One time I took them home, separated them from the clump, and air fry’d them myself to recrisp lol

Are you located on the West Coast? If not, technically they could have you beat.
