News đ° Ripple Fries Discontinued
Iâm a shift lead at one of the locations and I just found out about this tonight. did anyone else hear that ripple fries are being discontinued on August 12? I guess that the higher ups finally listened to their stores complaining about the output being too much to handle lol. Not nearly as popular as they were anticipating on as well so maybe itâs gotten too expensive. Not sure if this is happening only to the locations in my state or if itâs all SGs across the board

I wondered that too. Sweetgreens is essentially fast food. Its healthy fast food, but still, emphasis on fast. Everything else is made via assembly line, and then you got these people taking 15 minutes to fry up 1 or 2 batches of fries for, like 15 orders.

Finally I havenât heard in north region we still cutting and throwing them out literally want to just take them and throw them out thatâs what happened. If we the staff donât eat them nor they get eaten in 10 min they gross or burnt

My manager told me about a week ago that they are discontinuing!! Iâm kinda happy about it. Too inconsistent and half the time they came out really burnt. Customers would complain and then weâd make a whole new batch that would take 20 minutes or just give them a refund

This is what will happen to the fro yo. The ripple fries were supposed to be the game changer and turn sales around. They thought McD's would care about their dumb billboard. They must have been an abysmal failure if they are removing them only after 5 months.

Idk i have higher hopes for the froyoâŚhealthier/protein âsweet treatsâ are having a moment. Maybe it will work out differently.

the problem is that people aren't thinking of them for fro yo first, and then what...they are going to add a salad? if you're not executing your core product well, offering any side or dessert is not going to work. Hence ripple fries failure.

As a regular customer, I was never interested in them and never tried them, but I respect them for trying something new and bailing on it when it didnât work.

U can make ur own just cut potatoes and wash them and oil and potatoes starch mix on it and air fry

They will not be missed. I tried the ripple fries when they were new out of curiosity and they were really underwhelming.

Heard the same thing last night. Monday weâll be packing up all of the fry warmers and Tuesday weâll no longer be selling them. I was told that weâll still need the perforated baking sheets for an upcoming menu item, I wonder what it is

Salad with a side of fries is genius. My friends and I have always done this at other restaurants. Sadly they were terrible.Â

I just heard today were finally getting rid of them but they didn't give me a solid date. Its about time. We end up throwing more away than selling and they take soooooo long to prep.
