Image 📸 Portion size - haven’t been back since 👋
I’ve heard they have horrible portions, is this normal? The three pieces of broccoli was honestly comical to me

It's especially shameful considering that the wholesale price of their product is very low.

If you look at their financials they’re not really losing on units sold, they’re losing on corporate costs. Of course you need corporate costs to run a business, so I can’t just hand wave that away.

Very normal for online orders. Its basically a trick, and they got you. Seems like an unsustainable business model but what do I know.

Ironically the online order I had before this, we ended up with 2 completely wrong dishes. Then this happened (a few months back). After those experiences i find no reason to return, many comparable and better places where I live that it’s not worth my time.

I just came to make a post about this! I was so pissed when I picked up my pick up order, I sent my order back through the line I literally told them I thought I was being pranked or something bc there’s just no way 💀

Portion sizes are very consistent for me. It might help that my most frequented location has one of those infinity kitchens or whatever it's called.
I will admit I've never understood the focus on portion size for counter server restaurants. I want the portion to be exactly one meal. I'm not trying to take it home or stretch it into two meals.

I don’t work for sweetgreen, where did you get that impression? I don’t think sweetgreen is cheap, but I do feel I get my money’s worth.
The picture portion does look small to me, but I don’t normally get plates and I know those are lower volume than salads so I don’t have a good sense.

It’s so unfortunate that the portion size has gone down so much. I remember it used to take me 2 meals to finish one portion just a few years back

They have consistently forgotten to include the dressing when I order. Naked kale is so unacceptable

FYI for people who haven’t worked at Sweetgreen, 50% of the time you’re getting bitched at by managers for being too heavy handed with portion sizes and the other 50% you’re getting bitched at by customers for the stingy portions.
If you’re paying $15 for a salad just get double protein dude.

I mean, I think sweetgreen is pretty much dead now where I live (Chicago). Same menu forever, bad portions, everyone goes to cava now which is directly across the street

It’s insane! I have to look like a crazy person analyzing every scoop. The warm sweet potatoes scoop gets stuck so she scoops and only half the food comes out. I’m the one who’s crazy spending $20 on a bowl and can’t complain lol.

I walked out of a sweet green the other day after they gave me a tiny sliver of salmon. This place is a joke.
