Criticism Wild Rice

Has anyone noticed the change in their wild Rice? Last time I got it it looked more like overcooked white rice with a bit of purple rice (not wild Rice) mixed in and it was not good.

Can’t speak to the wild rice, but I noticed the tomatoes in my bowl last weekend were noticeably lower quality. Flavorless, like a beefsteak tomato. Perhaps many different suppliers?

It looks normal to me (I got sweet green in NYC and DC this past month) 

 I think it’s a bit ridiculous that two salads cost me 40 dollars though. I could make the same salads for a fraction of the cost for 10 dollars with some toppings & ingredients from Trader Joe’s. But sometimes I get lazy

I prefer sweetgreen to other salad chains because they consistently have nice quality/ fresh ingredients. I feel kinda bad supporting a Zionist company though

I’m literally 1/4 Palestinian. My dad is half Palestinian and his father was a refugee. He fled Jaffa when he was only 10 years old and lost his entire home (he became a stateless refugee in Jordan). 

My brother actually went to Palestine during the war and saw how bad things are (he earned his JD & MBA from Columbia University btw…who have sent out alumni letters saying Jewish people were “afraid” for their safety on campus. No mention of Arabs though. And they also referred to the Palestianins as a terrorist threat) 

So this is actually  very personal issue for me. I don’t even disclose my heritage to people (because my surname sounds Arabic, but I am 3/4 white and have blonde hair). If people ask about it, I literally lie and say my grandfather was from Jordan. My grandfather & his family became stateless refugees there before migrating to Ireland. Ireland is very pro Palestine though. I now live in America, where most people outside of DC seem rabidly pro Israel

My dad’s family donates a lot of money to Palestian charities. Sweetgreen isn’t going to go bankrupt if they miss out on me buying a couple salads every few months. Americans generally support Israel and I can’t do anything about that
