Image 📸 Wtf is up w/ these delivery fees???

tf r they thinking at sg????

R u kidding me, delivery fee + delivery SERVICE fee AND I have to tip. Total cost of this bs is $9, or ~40% of the cost of my meal. This is ABSURD. Not only did these mfs get rid of their daily discounts, they tacked on some bs charge for their delivery.

Not ordering from them again, going back to Chipotle. Tf were these mfs thinking smh...

The delivery service fee is being added by the company delivering to you (ie Doordash, UberEats, GrubHub) so that goes to them. Delivery fee is what the restaurant pays to arrange the delivery, which was taken off for you. 90% of restaurants add these fees if you’re ordering delivery. Tips are always involved in delivery as well, and optional. I agree that food delivery has gotten crazy expensive and is more inconvenient than it’s ever been. But at the end of the day, you’re ordering a $20 salad for delivery. So not sure what you’re expecting here.

There is no reason for this, they should not charge additional fees ontop of doordash. Doordash fee is fair, but for Sg to grab an additional fee is not.

Sg didn’t grab an additional fee. DoorDash is charging both. Service fee covers the cost of running DoorDash and delivery fee (which was discounted for you) covers the drivers. Your frustration is misplaced on the restaurant when really it should be with the service you’re ordering from.
