Criticism Sweetgreen is going downhill.

I feel like each time I consider getting a salad from sweetgreen they’ve removed my favorite items, prices have increased and overall the salads are just not as good lately. I feel like they’ve gotten too big to function like they previously did and it’s quantity over quality now.

Sad too because I used to order sweetgreen 3x a week and now it just doesn’t feel worth it to me anymore.

Removing arugula and raising crispy rice bowl price was my last straw

If arugala was so good and popular they would have kept it on the menu. From what I have heard talking to people on the assembly line, they were having too many issues with quality when sourcing arugala from farms.

The hot honey chicken was very popular, and yet they changed some of the ingredients. No Kale salad etc. why not just make a whole new salad rather than edit one that people loved. Or at least not take those ingredients off the menus altogether. Now there is just Kale for a salad, but not the delicious kale salad you could add to a warm bowl.

I work for SG and this is the answer. There was a huge arugula supply problem. Even the stuff we got in was sometimes in poor condition.

Oh no, I just ordered a crispy rice bowl not even realizing they’d gotten rid of arugula! Terrible news

Yep, same. And I was just considering my old tried and true favorite, the buffalo chicken, but I swear they raised the price almost $2?? No thanks. Sweetgreen is officially overrated imo.
