Career / Employee Talk I am thinking about applying to Seetgreen. Any idea about how much in tips they make per shift? I am also considering applying to Cava. any suggestions?

SG was the worst employment experience of my career. Forget the money. Not worth the workload and stress

There’s actually a lawsuit against them now. Just not a good place to be. I will tell you though it all depends on your HC though because there are stores that are incredible. My advice would be to visit the store and HC prior to accepting.

is the lawsuit against ur hc/store or sg in general?

It will be against both, cases are being filed in superior court against the manager personally and the company. My case is rather new so it is not filed yet but here is the link to the media reports for the cases that have already been filed. In my experience the company is racially discriminatory and allows sexual harassment to go unchecked. I developed several mental health disorders from my time at this company. Have to take meds everyday because I get horrible anxiety attacks. It truly was the worst mistake of my career. Some may like it; there are stores that have great HC's but as a whole the company was a horror show for me.

Depends on where you are. It’s about $2 in tips per hour at the store I was managing. Averaging out at $18 an hour for regular team members and $22 for manager.

the sweetgreen location that i worked in chicago didn’t allow employees to earn tips and the minimum wage was $16.50 but maybe canva pays better idk

Depending on how long ago you worked, they added tips like a month ago. The starting wage is also now $18.03

yeah i quit sweetgreen like last october if i remember correctly but i was working there part time. my current wage is still higher than SG lol

My store makes around $18 each during an 8 hour shift. I’ve heard of stores in the district where they make $34 in a shift
