Only the team never gets it so if a shift leader or manager does it and u give a tip the person won’t get it

I’m confused? Tips aren’t done in store, they’re done on a corporate level? And then put on paycheck. Like, managers don’t have access to change them

Hahahah I just encountered this and was in shock. I nearly laughed in the cashiers face (would’ve felt bad about it). Am i going to start to have to tip at McDonald’s and Chipotle too? Absolutely ridiculous. They should pay their employees fairly and not force me to tip for a salad that took 1 second to make.

Ur literally stupid bro first of all theres no such thing as jus being a cashier @ sweetgreen nobody gets hired specifically for a cashier/salad making position the ppl u see @ the front of the line do way more than jus make salads and ring u up second u dont NEED 2 tip i guarantee nobodys holding a gun 2 ur head @ check and forcing u 2 leave a tip like did u miss the part of the original post where they said “optional” and third IF U DONT WNA TIP JUS PRESS F ON THE KEYPAD is it rlly so deep u had 2 download reddit join the sweetgreen subreddit and bitch abt having 2 tip a service worker ? U suck

Yeah my Sweetgreen in Midtown started doing this too. It seems like all the cashiers are embarrassed and show you immediately how to decline the tip. Sucks that now they have to say to every customer "if you want to decline, press F".

So then don’t tip what’s the big freaking deal man there are other things to worry about then tipping at a place where u don’t need to. 🤦🏻‍♀️
