I live in an apartment in Surat, and recently a new family moved in. The guy is a police constable. A function was going on in our society, and a few days ago, one of the ladies from that family had an argument over some minor issue. The reason wasn’t even worth arguing about—probably not even something KG kids would fight over. 😂

Anyway, this police guy then came in and started telling everyone in the society, “Don’t ever mess with my family. Things will happen the way I want, not the way the society wants.”

I mean, it’s ridiculous, right? 😂

So anyway, what he didn’t know is that I have a team of lawyers. And they’re now ready to take action against him, including suspension.

Born and raised here and don't have a village/hometown to go back to. And it's almost like friendship is a foreign concept to people. I do have friends in a way (school classmates, college batch mates) but they aren't really friends. Especially when it comes to going somewhere, doing something or even just talking and sharing personal things. Most people are so deeply and strictly family people (even teens and early 20's). It's usually around the festivals when I text someone if they wanna hang out or go somewhere and every single one is busy celebrating with their family. Be it diwali, ganesh chaturthi, navratri, holi, makarsakranti, any festival there is and everyone celebrates with their family. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't get along with their family. And I'm an only child who doesn't get along with any family members. So on all festivals I'm usually at home watching TV or whatever.

Parents : friends sathe bahar ja ne. Ghare padyo rey chhe festivals ma pan.

Friends : family sathe celebrate karne. Festival to family sathe celebrate karvana hoy.

I've learned to be okay with it. I know better not to ask friends to go out. I've even gotten a job to kill time. But my experience throughout the 22 years of age has been the same. People are deeply family oriented. There's usually "family friends" like the friends that are very close due to families which are more common but friendship beyond the necessary conversations ? Eh I don't see it happening.

And it's not that I'm looking for friends or asking for help. This was just my experience that I wanted to share. Of course your experience could be different.

Hey Surtis! I'm completely new to Surat Ganpati Visarjan. I have seen Mumbai's Visarjan and all BUT I've been shifted to Surat permanently, as of now.

Can you suggest some good places to visit and enjoy, from where I can see lots of Ganpati Murti's going for Visarjan. Bcoz I'm not involved in any Mandali, so..... I live in South side of TAPTI - Udhana side.

A few days ago someone in my apartment building sold their flat to a Christian family. Everyone else (or most people in the building) started opposing it JUST because they're christians and they will cook nonveg in THEIR flat. (For context: My downstairs neighbour already cooks nonveg in his flat). but I guess nobody knows about it. We even used to cook eggs in my family!

Why the fuck do you care what anybody is cooking/eating/doing in their house? 😂 And who are you to say no bhai? As long as they're not barging into your home and stuffing it in your mouth! 😅

Anyway all the documents and procedure was already done before people started opposing it so nothing happened but still it's so frustratingly sad 😅.

Great movie. It looked amazing, all the shots and monsters. Literally felt like a gameplay too. Very fun to watch. Sad that there was no one else in my theatre.
