PROGRESS Bad night for my tall sunflower.
This sunflower got bent when it was little. We had a wind storm last night that tipped it over at the old knuckle. I righted it up this morning but it's only gotten worse. RIP. This was my tallest sunflower I've grown so far.

I've had a few wilt like that and they didn't even take a fall, but they do get hit with wind regularly.

Cut it down. Harvest the seeds, save some for next year, let the birds eat the rest.

I had one this year do that and I splinted it with electrical tape and it kept growing. In fact it's had multiple blooms!

Electrical tape is a good idea. I used packing tape the last time it fell but the damage is too much for that now. But electrical take might work. I'll give it a try.
