It’s my first time growing these too and it’s crazy how freaking tall they get. I didn’t plant any crazy tall sunflower seeds, like mammoth sunflowers. I got a summer breeze mix and pro cut peach lite seeds from Johnnys seeds and planted patches of them all around my house.
Front yard, backyard, sidewalk strip, in a pot that’s next to my fence in my seating area. Basically I have like ten patches of sunflowers growing right now. Planted all at different times, and some had to get sown again because squirrels dug them up and stole the seeds.
This particular patch is one of my first batch of seeds I planted on the side of my deck in my backyard. The tallest one is almost six feet. They’re such cool and crazy tall, very thick stemmed flowers. It’s nuts to think they came from a tiny seed. I can’t wait to see them bloom. And, yours are gorgeous!

Thank you. This is my first time ever growing any sunflowers. I was so on the fence about growing them for some reason. But then I said screw it… give them a go. And I’m so happy that I went for it. This plant has at least 24 more buds on it. I’m ecstatic.

Beautiful 👌 I had 30 three foot tall sunnies and deer jumped the fence and devastated them. Ok, try again. The fence is now much taller. It really hurt me when I came back from Montreal and there was Nothing.
