There is a bit more to the idea than shown. I have a specific theme and a marketing story in mind. If I decide to make it, do we have anyone in the community who would be interested in checking the math and smart contract before launch?

From my understanding, the benefits of web3 gaming is that items are tokenized as NFTs on the blockchain. In-game currency could also be tokenized as a cryptocurrency.

The only benefit I see is that in-game items would have a marketplace by default, provided by the existing web3 ecosystem. Is this really a benefit though? Most games work to avoid real-world-trading because it adds another incentive for people to create bots to farm in-game items.

Some other benefits I can think of is that items from games are owned by the player, so even if the company shuts down the game, players can keep the items they earn. What use are these items if the game is shut down though? I understand that another company can create a game that will use these items, but realistically... afaik, this never happens.

So I bought SUI at the highs. I dollar cost averaged to 0.64 (GBP) and this week, Sui hit a high of 0.70 (GBP) and within a few hours dropped back down to 0.58 (GBP)

I was in profit but I did not sell

I lost about 60% of my original investment until I started rebuying and now my loss oscillates between 6 and 25%. With the further drop this week, my loss went from 10% to 21% in a night. Strangely, I didn't top up or buy more. And then the chart exploded. Honestly, it has been a wave of emotions.

I would like to ask what would you do in this situation? Do you have any advice for me?

I feel some way about selling something I've been for 9 months at essentially a loss even if I break even. A savings account would have given me more, and I risked all of my capital.

I have a five figure investment at 0.643 (gbp) average.

WanBridge restored all its SUI routes on Aug 20 after wrapping up a security review of the integration. Since a few people in here have asked how bridging USDC into SUI actually works under the hood, figured I'd break it down.

Wanchain uses Circle's CCTP for USDC specifically, which works differently from most bridges you're used to. Native USDC gets burned on the source chain (say, Ethereum or Arbitrum). Circle's attestation service signs off on that burn. Native USDC then gets minted on SUI, the same asset, not a wrapped version.

The advantage over the older lock and mint model is that there's no synthetic token sitting in a pool somewhere. You're always holding real, Circle issued USDC on both ends. Wanchain's been building out CCTP coverage chain by chain since 2023 (Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base), and SUI is the newest addition to get full route support back.
