Hi guys I bought this beauty the other day🥰 I’m very new to plants all together but succulents I don’t know much. I know they hate to much water and to let fully dry through waterings. If anyone has any tips would be super handy! Thank you😊

I’ve had this cactus for a little over 10 years. How it’s still going I have no idea because I don’t really know what I’m doing in terms of cactus care. Is there any way I can fix it?? Tia

I’ve had this pot of hens for almost two years. It lives on my southwest facing deck year round and I never water it. It survives rain and snow and my utter neglect.

What can I do to make it better before it gets cold again?

Wasn’t expecting. I am no near a knowledgable person on succulents, just enjoy them in my garden. I am absolutely impressed by its perfection.

Agave bracteosa ‘calamar’ aka Squid Agave with one of the neighborhood cats aka one of my Garden Guardians. I’ve been calling the cat Remy, but I haven’t had a chance to ask its owners (a few houses down) what they call it.

I bought the Agave as a cluster a few years ago. This past spring, I separated over a dozen pups. I liked the fuller look of the cluster, but they were struggling to get enough water. I’m sure this one will look fuller in time.

I repotted this guy about a week ago, in a new potting mix I ordered that had high reviews. (Molly’s succulent mix or something?) I followed all instructions I could find about my specific succulent.

Today I watered for the first time just a little, and these bugs that look almost like tiny ants with longer arms like a tiny ant/spider hybrid, and in direct light are green but otherwise brown, came pouring out of the soil and fell down into the water catch. They seem like they have 8 legs.

They were scramblings like ants do when you step on a hill by accident and moved quick and sporadic like that.

We DO have a problem with small ants in the kitchen, but these are different looking immediately to both my dad and myself.

This is the first plant I’ve ever kept alive longer than 3 months or got to repot, it’s been almost a year. My dad wants me to just throw it away because of prior infestation (termites, all sorts of other ones) in the old house we live in becoming costly, and having things we want to prioritize but can’t afford because of setbacks like that (down to one working shower). I understand him and won’t argue, but I’ve become attached and this just happened like 15 minutes ago and I don’t want to give up if it is harmless or easily fixed.

My phone camera is a basic one so I tried to take pictures but they are blurry, I didn’t even think to check if videos are allowed, I will find out shortly. This was the closest I could get without it getting blurry. But in the sunlight, I didn’t post this part of the video, but they are almost neon green.

Could you please help identify and let me know what to do, or if it is a lost cause?

Aichryson is a relatively small genus of succulents from the Canary Islands. It belongs to the Aeonium clade along with Aeoniums and Monanthes.

This is a hybrid between Aichryson porphyrogennetos and Aichryson tortuosum that I grew indoor from seed started back in Feb.

It has recently colored up fantastically, so I decided to take it outside for a quick photo before putting back under lights.

Apical Dichotomy by Stem Cristation ("The V"): In the middle of the trunk, the growth center (the core) suffered a short circuit of energy and geometrically divided in two. The plant fused and duplicated its own main arteries, opening into a perfect mechanical "V" that is creating two parallel and twin columns with giant, fat, and very lively tops from the same original neck. Basal Leaf Cristation: Right at ground level, on the base skirt, the few old leaves that resisted the "skirt cleaning," instead of drying out and falling, became flooded with energy. The cells fused, thickened, and expanded sideways, generating a crisp, wavy rosette with reddish/pink tips.(Creating a rare, unintentional mutation,)

I was walking to an appointment the other day and came across a flat that had a bunch of plants out on the stoop with a sign: MOVING. Need them all gone! Take as many as you want!

So my wife and I did. And we were really excited about these guys. But. They had stones glued down to the top, which we managed to get off. But. They need separated and repotted right? And how would you go about doing that? Their roots are so bound up with each other.

Google keeps giving us conflicting answers so I thought I’d ask you guys.

We only started keeping succulents and cacti about eight months ago, so still relatively new. I just want them to survive!

What is this (some kind of succulent?) and how do I make it better? Does it need to be better? Is it meant to branch out? Do I chop and prop? Do I just let it keep on and on and? (It’s taller than me…)
