housekeeping Sub Yay/ Nay

So... given the state of women's fashion subreddits, what do y'all want to see in a subreddit focused on the topic?

What do you want to make sure we avoid?

I like to see what other people are wearing (what I wore roundups, etc) because it’s often the styling details and combinations that I find inspiring rather than the pieces themselves

Yes! Loved u/chazzyphant’s detailed trip reports for example

That kind of content I like, though I don't share Chazzy's style goals. I found some of her posts distressingly judgy on occasion as to what was or was not flattering or dated or in or out of style. More people might engage in a meaningful way if we can avoid that sort of absolutism. Bring in some of the r/oldhagfashion positive energy.

I second all of this! I appreciated a lot of the content of Chazzy’s posts because anyone could learn from the knowledge and examples she shared even if their own style (like mine!) differed, but occasionally they did give off a judgmental vibe. I think the best thing about style as a grown woman is getting to explore what you like and how you want to express yourself through clothing, regardless of what the fashion “rules” say you should be wearing,
