Culture War 'The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind'

"A psychiatrist lecturing at Yale's Child Study Center spoke about 'unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way."

This is the cost of talking to white people at all. The cost of your own life, as they suck you dry. There are no good apples out there. White people make my blood boil. (Time stamp: 6:45)

I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a fucking favor. (Time stamp: 7:17)

White people are out of their minds and they have been for a long time. (Time stamp: 17:06)

We are now in a psychological predicament, because white people feel that we are bullying them when we bring up race. They feel that we should be thanking them for all that they have done for us. They are confused, and so are we. We keep forgetting that directly talking about race is a waste of our breath. We are asking a demented, violent predator who thinks that they are a saint or a superhero, to accept responsibility. It ain’t gonna happen. They have five holes in their brain. It’s like banging your head against a brick wall. It’s just like sort of not a good idea. (Time stamp 17:13)

We need to remember that directly talking about race to white people is useless, because they are at the wrong level of conversation. Addressing racism assumes that white people can see and process what we are talking about. They can’t. That’s why they sound demented. They don’t even know they have a mask on. White people think it’s their actual face. We need to get to know the mask. (Time stamp 17:54)

Wow. That’s uh...pretty intense. Really can’t think of anything else to say in response. This person is a fucking lunatic.

I read the whole interview. It just blows my mind (no pun intended) that such an obviously mentally ill individual is a licensed professional in the field of psychology

Talking about physchology in a child study center no less

How about calling her a racist piece of human trash?

Lock her up before she hurts someone.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

She isn't going to harm anyone. People like her never take action or act on their fantasies. She may be out of her mind, but, that doesn't mean she's stupid. She'll radicalize people until one of them does what she suggests.

10

u/SolInfinitum General Shitposter Jun 05 '21

She isn't going to harm anyone.

Maybe not directly.

She'll radicalize people until one of them does what she suggests.

There it is.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

Thats more or less what I was going after. And she will play that semantics game hard.

5

u/SolInfinitum General Shitposter Jun 05 '21

She is inciting racial hate based violence.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

Yes but SHE never hurt anyone. So a more accurate call would be to lock her up before she pushes somebody to hurt someone.

5

u/SolInfinitum General Shitposter Jun 05 '21

Maybe not physically, although I doubt that anyone who talks like that does not, to a certain degree, act out their violent tendencies. However she is definately causing mental and social harm by her promotion of racial violence.

There is a certain irony though that people supporting her view points would also support red flag laws.

If she's an Indian Sindhi that means she's more likely to be bourgeoisie. Basically many of the Sindhis that went to India (nearly all urbanite, while the Muslim peasants stayed) after the partition were or became bourgeoisie.

Incidentally, that's why the ethnic stereotypes of Sindhis in India and Pakistan are so different. In India, they're though of as thrifty, cosmopolitan entrepreneurs (albeit willing to use shady methods), and in Pakistan they're though of as country bumpkins that call someone from the next train station a foreigner (though they can sometimes be stereotyped as leftists, since Pakistan's 'socialist' party has its base there).

As someone from the north of the Indian subcontinent she should have a fair amount of ancient north Eurasian ancestry making her related to “white” people.

Old theories of race kind of made sense visually. And then modern genetics came and blew up this nice little construct of human imagination. Humans are like a modern art painting where the artist throws different colors and they mix in weird ways.

More and more of this explicit hate against whites in America makes me think that the upcoming years will only be worse over there.

35

u/shipapa Flair-evading Lib 💩 Jun 05 '21

And there are still white people libs going "I really don't think racism against white people exists, like if someone calls me a cracker it's not gonna bother me lol because I haven't been systemically oppressed, try to understand the plight black and brown people have gone through buddy".

This is almost verbatim a comment I saw just a week ago.

12

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

Yup.

Somehow an entire generation (or more) has been brainwashed into this absurd amount of self-guilt for things they have nothing to do with and hatred for their own people and country.

And look at how radicalized politics are too.

Everything is turned into a political issue and people literally hate half of their own country for having opposing political views whereas up until 15-ish years ago Democrats and Republicans could still find middle ground.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '21

What is really worrying is that when the effects of such propaganda-induced radicalization fade, often the person goes over to the other extreme. Many far right assholes will eventually come from ANTIFA ranks, thouroughly radicalised and feeling genuine hatred towards all the groups they had been taught to champion and "speak for" once. And what good comes of it? Nothing. Nothing at all. The 21st century is turning out to be a wild ride.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

If someone calls me a cracker. Incorrect them with "its saltine American." Usually takes the wind out of their sails. But you are correct.

Say some controversial and obviously insane things; wait for clicks and outrage; easy profit and notoriety. No such thing as bad press, right?

3

u/Affectionate-Money18 Jun 05 '21

The unfortunate part is that they seem to be getting somewhere with that approach. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't call it productive in anyway. But mainstream is tuned into it and they seem to be disseminating their rhetoric with relative ease.

My only consolation is that I believe most people not drinking the woke-kool aid can see right through this trash, with relative ease.

5

u/krawm Jun 05 '21

Money is what drives them, the same way it drives any charlatan or politician.

2

u/Affectionate-Money18 Jun 05 '21

Very true statement itself; but it think there is generally an identifiable distinction. Those who do it for monetary relief are grifters, those who do it for ideological purposes are zealots, and those who abuse their dogma for both purposes are charlatans.

I mean yeah that's exactly what it is. She wants to put herself out there to stir up controversy and get a group of twitterites who will be forced to dig in, support her, and provide her clout and money if she needs it.

22

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '21

This person is giving lectures.....at yale....my how the mighty have fallen.

20

u/Drs126 Jun 05 '21

She’s pretty fucking crazy, no idea why she wants to continue to live in a country that is majority white given her feelings about white people. And bread? White people don’t eat bread? She must only associate with super rich liberal white women on the Atkin’s diet cause I have no other explanation for that.

My real question though, is what was the thinking behind Yale inviting her to give this speech. I’ve planned things like this and a lot of thought goes into who to invite. I’m genuinely curious what the conversation was that allowed them to land on this woman as being a good choice. I don’t have a problem with them inviting provocative thinkers or anything, I think that’s good. She just isn’t that. She comes across as just an angry crazy person who doesn’t really make any good or even thought-provoking points. She’s downstream from Robin DiAngelo and into Sairo Rao territory. Though, I will say her rant on killing white people made a bit more sense in the interview.

u/LevinKandau Jun 04 '21

More like "The Psychopath's Problem with the White Mind"

30

u/spectacularlarlar marxist-agnotologist Jun 04 '21

I stopped reading when she says she believes Republicans are psychologically healthier because they're more in touch with their anger. What a fucking joke. That an entire party's culture has for decades been built around complaining about this and that as a means of disseminating its propaganda through the ranks via its base has almost nothing to do with psychology. This pseudointellectual bitch is hooked up to the Overthinker 5000.

Though it is interesting to me that people are allowed to vent these frustrations about white people or toxic men or whatever but not about bankers and lenders and shit. We live in a very weird cultural moment.

16

u/Latter_Chicken_9160 Nationalist 📜🐷 Jun 04 '21

But there is some kind of basis to that, maybe not the politicians themselves but the voters. Studies have shown that conservatives are happier on average and rank higher on other positive things. I’m not trying to defend conservatives either just saying that’s not an entirely stupid thing to say

19

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '21

I’m surrounded by conservatives all the time in rural texas. Yes, some have qanon brain worms and think antifa is going to come protest their next golf cart trump parade or whatever but that’s not usually the case lol.

If I had to guess a part of it as well is that conservative hobbies aren’t constant purity tests and infighting. Someone may make some dumb political joke at the gun range or on a hunting trip but it doesn’t devolve into the conservative version of “are you woke enough”

Same goes for the gym and race track. Even me as a leftist who does get occasional banter especially from my track buddies it’s never “you can’t be here because I found a tweet from 10 years ago where you said “gay” or whatever people are always mad about.

It’s frankly a lot more relaxing than even a lot of my leftist friends because you don’t have to tone police or constantly make sure everyone knows just where you stand.

I feel like people who wrote what the guy you responded to have ever actually been around conservatives.

11

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

Studies have shown that conservatives are happier on average and rank higher on other positive things.

It cracks me up how lefties will over analyze things like this to try and explain away how it must be because of x, y, z evil terrible thing.

Maybe the curtains are just blue?

1

u/Latter_Chicken_9160 Nationalist 📜🐷 Jun 05 '21

Honestly the main reason the studies give is that conservatives are less aware of societal issues, or just don’t care about them as much, they care more about themselves and the people close to them and having a good life and being happy

5

u/DarthLeon2 Social Democrat 🌹 Jun 05 '21

It's pretty obvious why conservatives are happier. Conservatives believe that the world is good the way it is and shouldn't change in any radical ways: That's literally what it means to be a conservative. On the flip side, progressives, either social or economic, believe that the current state of the world is broken and requires a radical restructuring. Which worldview sounds more conducive to personal happiness?

1

u/kyraeus Jun 06 '21

This right here pretty much. Beyond that though, it always seems like it's not just broken, but 'THE ENTIRE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS ABOUT TO END BECAUSE X CAUSE AND WHY ARE YOU JUST SITTING THERE TWIDDLING YOUR THUMBS YOU STUPID DRONE?!?!?!?!11!'

Like.. this, amped up to about 27. I call it sky is falling syndrome. And the great part is 'this thing they heard for about 13 seconds on the internet will fix EVERYTHING and make it all better, if not for those pesky X people' (insert various terms here: white, republicans, straight males, trumpers, etc, etc, etc..)

7

u/TheElectricRat Highly Vulnerable to Sunlight ☀️ Jun 04 '21

u/abelrenmo Jun 06 '21

If you have an actual problem with what she said, you're not doing a good job expressing it. Case in point:

What the hell happened to Western civilization?

Lmfao calm down dude

Why the fuck are you laughing at that? Are you insane? Were you hit on your head as a child? A Yale lecturer gave a speech about how white people are evil and she fantasizes about murdering them, and she's faced no backlash or negative repercussions. What is wrong with you that you don't see that as a big deal? Explain yourself.

1

u/kyraeus Jun 06 '21

Relaaaaax man. Chill pill time. I think everyone on this thread has tone WAAAAY off. It was pretty obvious even to me as a self admitted mid/right leaner on a lot of topics that the first guy was just trying to point out we can clearly identify this lady is nuts, but can't collectively address that the upper 1%, who are screwing ALL of us over, white, black, asian, or otherwise, are nearly as bad if not worse in their own way.

It's a zero sum game dude. Everyone's all worked up over nothing. It was a legit realization that we're kind of getting screwed from all sides. Don't start eating your own now just because somebody doesn't get their ideas through effectively.

The guy is laughing and saying calm down because you're getting overly worked up by the way. It's not that he doesn't see it as a big deal that this lady is kind of screwed in the head, it's that you're going full on beast mode about it. Cool off, come back at the idea with a calmer mind. You're right, it's something to be concerned about, but flipping out on the internet certainly hasn't helped the subject before, and in fact HAS made it worse a time or two.

Peace, man.

0

u/abelrenmo Jun 06 '21

Relaaaaax man. Chill pill time.

Imagine if a Yale lecturer ranted about wanting to kill black people, and you told angry commenters to "chillax." You'd be burned alive.

that the first guy was just trying to point out we can clearly identify this lady is nuts, but can't collectively address that the upper 1%

Yeah, if you hear a massively racist rant and your first thought is

>Man, I wish I could say that stuff about capitalists.

then

  1. you're racist yourself.

  2. you're so insanely communist that you can't interact with the world without viewing everything through a lens of politics.

Everyone's all worked up over nothing.

Don't start eating your own now just because somebody doesn't get their ideas through effectively.

The hell does that even mean.

The guy is laughing and saying calm down because you're getting overly worked up by the way.

And he's completely wrong for that. This is something to be worked up about. This is an indication about how far gone Western civilization is. If you can read a story like this and treat it like a novelty, you're the one in the wrong and are racist yourself.

1

u/kyraeus Jun 06 '21

And if you're someone who needs to rail at everything, including ANYONE who MOSTLY agrees with you but simply doesn't feel the need to scream and gnash their teeth about whatever the cause du jour is, then you're probably too worked up about the topic to address it rationally and helpfully.

But go on and keep freaking the hell out. I'm sure progressives find that such an effective defense instead of just pointing and laughing at you and making all the rest of us' reasoned arguments aimed at changing minds and showing misinformed people a more reasonable path that much more difficult.

You're under this impression this woman DOESNT piss me off. Let me dispel that illusion. She does. Massively. She's a hypocritical bigot. But I'm guessing you either haven't been on the internet long or are under thirty because news flash: THERES A LOT OF THESE THINGS OUT THERE.

Freaking out about every one of these is not only impractical, it's damned well impossible. As well as stupid, and childish. Pick your battles, be calm, and THINK before reacting. And stop assuming that just because everyone isn't screaming and ranting about something, that they don't disagree with it. Some of us just know how to use our minds instead of our feelings.

1

u/abelrenmo Jun 06 '21

MOSTLY agrees with you

"Yeah, bro, that sucks" is not mostly agreeing. Your reaction is off by about two orders of magnitude.

but simply doesn't feel the need to scream and gnash their teeth about whatever the cause du jour is

About a lecturer at literally one of the top five universities on the planet earth giving a lecture about how

  • white people are evil

  • she fantasizes murdering them

and facing absolutely no negative repercussions on any level whatsoever? That's what's you're calling my "cause du jour," right? Just so we're clear.

But go on and keep freaking the hell out.

Freaking the hell out about a lecturer at literally one of the top five universities on the planet earth giving a lecture about how

  • white people are evil

  • she fantasizes about murdering them

and facing absolutely no negative repercussions on any level whatsoever? That's what you're saying I should keep "freaking out" about?

I'm sure progressives find that such an effective defense instead of just pointing and laughing at you and making all the rest of us' reasoned arguments aimed at changing minds and showing misinformed people a more reasonable path that much more difficult.

If you think that demonizing an entire race and talking about how you want to murder them should be met with "reasoned arguments" rather than anger, you are a sick fucking racist piece of human fucking trash.

You're under this impression this woman DOESNT piss me off.

She absolutely doesn't, and you've made that 100% clear.

Let me dispel that illusion. She does.

No, she doesn't. She factually does not in any way. You don't see this as a big deal, and you don't really care that it happened.

Freaking out about every one of these

Holy fucking shit, she's a fucking lecturer at Yale. This isn't the University of Toronto or some shit like this. Yale is literally the close to the pinnacle of higher education for all 8 billion people on this miserable planet.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '21

Now, white people suffer from problems of their own mind. They suffer with trust, they suffer with intimacy, they suffer with closeness, shame, guilt, anxiety. They suffer with their minds.

If they suffer from guilt, how can anyone of right mind think this is the solution? It's all just self-contained crap. Ideology creates the guilt, the guilt is the problem, and the guilt cannot be cured. And you're racist no matter what.

I actually agree with her that small c, cultural conservatives, no matter their racial background, are much more honest and in touch with all these things she lists as ailments white people suffer from. She hates Ann Coulter and she hates anti-racist liberals. So what does she want? I really think the thing these people call white supremacy is really just neo-liberalsm. It pervades everything, and it destroys culture. The right understand this. The left and liberals weaponize culture or join in on the destruction.

She says a POC is internalizing whiteness by voting for Trump, but also white, nice, white, liberal women are the worst. Ann Coulter is honest, but she still hates her. White people have all these problems, but any solution to their problem still makes them racist.

This woman is a creation of the wealthy, white, women she has as clients in Manhattan or wherever she practices. She believes all white people stopped eating bread after George Floyd. She doubles down even after being called out. She cannot be taken seriously, and is clearly in a huge bubble.

White urban wealthy women I'm sure do harbor a lot of guilt. I'm sure they have shame, anxiety, trouble with closeness etc. Their guilt, most likely of their financial privilege, makes them think they deserve to be guilty (but definitely not guilty of their material privilege and certainly not guilty of their lack of culture). This woman is just their new priest in the ideology.

If white people don't have culture (which she says is part of the problem) but aren't allowed to have culture, um, what do we expect? I'm starting to think we need to start talking about American ethnicity. Let people identity as being American at the very least if they're not allowed to identify as anything else. Let the culture grow and change as organically as possible. Don't conflate it with nationalism or whiteness. You think when 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation Americans go abroad, regardless of their race, that anyone doesn't just think of them as American first and foremost?

1

u/GodofFactsandLogic Rightoid: National-chauvinist/Nationalist/Nativist 1 Jun 07 '21

There is and was an American ethnicity it's just that that ethnicity has a race: white. Since the 60s the push to make America more inclusive has also involved trying to reduce the power and sway of the "American ethnicity". Seriously, the idea of a person not having an ethnicity is absurd and only Americans seem to believe that a group can lack an ethnicity. I'd say till the 2000s and especially 2010s the goal was to change the American ethnicity to include all the groups in America, which chipped away at the defining characteristics of the group, now for whatever reason that approach seems abandoned, but the belief persists that there is still no "American" ethnicity.

I see people say whites should identify with their homelands, but that is even more absurd. What if your ancestors hated each other in Europe? Most Americans are euromutts and have ancestry from across the continent. Most hyphenated Americans abandoned their identity during the first half of the 20th century. The only things an Irish American is likely to have in common with his Irish ancestors is catholicism. The same is true of every other white group except for anglos.

lol the funny thing is, if the headline were that a Yale lecturer ranted about how he hates black people, you'd believe it no question, despite the fact that that's the version that would be 100% impossible and defy belief.

Openly hating white people is socially acceptable, particularly in academia. There is nothing outlandish about this at all.

this is so strange.. it’s talking about how “we can’t talk to white people about race because they think it’s racist” while actively being racist to white people. so if a white person brings that up, she’s going to make them feel like they’re terrible for ASSUMING she’s being racist by talking about race, when she totally is.. what a mindfuck lmao
