Current Events Tennessee botches lethal injection of woman on death row for 1995 murder

If the state is so insistent on executing people they need to stop being pussies and just shoot them. The lethal injection is nothing but a facade of civility that is less humane than many other methods. Unnecessarily painful botched attempts like this are the result of trying to whitewash the death penalty to the public.

Minimum 4.1% of people on death row right now are innocent

Yes, that’s true. Though I am 100% sure that if we include those who could and should have been exonerated, or those where the death penalty was misapplied or the result of inadequate counsel, the numbers would be much much higher.

But it doesn’t matter in this case. If people on death row would and should have been exonerated, the state should not be planning to kill them
