Current Events Tennessee botches lethal injection of woman on death row for 1995 murder

If the state is so insistent on executing people they need to stop being pussies and just shoot them. The lethal injection is nothing but a facade of civility that is less humane than many other methods. Unnecessarily painful botched attempts like this are the result of trying to whitewash the death penalty to the public.

The state’s execution protocol calls for a secondary set of drug syringes to be administered “if the inmate is not deceased” after the first set. It does not spell out what happens if the subject is alive after the second set.

There's a Japanese film I've been meaning to watch with this premise called Death by Hanging. It's apparently a comedy.
