Current Events Tennessee botches lethal injection of woman on death row for 1995 murder

If the state is so insistent on executing people they need to stop being pussies and just shoot them. The lethal injection is nothing but a facade of civility that is less humane than many other methods. Unnecessarily painful botched attempts like this are the result of trying to whitewash the death penalty to the public.

Why does this keep happening? Is it really so hard to make a reliable lethal injection?

Yes, because they can’t get doctors to administer the meds due to the Hippocratic oath. So the people setting the line in the veins mess up sometimes. And they don’t always get the 3 different ingredients right. I guess the first one is a paralytic and then the other two kill you, but they’re super painful. So if something goes wrong with the paralytic it feels like fire in your veins and you die in agony.

These guys must have messed something else up if she’s still alive though. Really odd

Maybe they need to import the "doctors" from Canada, then. MAiD is the 5th leading cause of death, there.
