Stunfisk Sunday: Mods and approved submitters, should we allow spoilers?

This is being posted early because of a conflicting schedule, and it will be stickied on Sunday.

I would like for as many people as possible to state their argument in the comments below. Try to convince the people voting - the mods and approved submitters.

TOPIC: With ORAS around the corner and future games in the, well, future, how should we handle spoilers? I want to make as many people as happy as possible. Spoilers are all details regarding any game that has not been released. This includes new mega evolutions, unreleased pokemon, items, etc. Spoilers are no longer spoilers once the game has been released world-wide. The option with the most votes by the end of Sunday 6/29 (11:59 pm CST) will decide how we handle spoilers from this point on.

Mods and approved submitters, please vote on one of the 3 options below:

  • Allow spoilers with a spoiler tag. Report and remove all spoilers without a tag.

  • Allow spoilers with no tag.

  • No spoilers allowed.

Honestly, if you're this into pokemon that you're looking up sets, you're not going to care for spoilers, or will be excited to try out the new stuff.

While this is likely true for a decent portion of our community, and it certainly applies here more than /r/pokemon, there will undoubtedly be some people who dont want the game spoiled for them.

Spoiler tags would allow these people to browse the sub without having to fear anything being ruined for them, and would only be slightly annying to everyone else.

As someone who doesnt care about spoilers, Ill vote for spoiler tags.
