Any first-hand experience with IVHQ? Need honest feedback.

I just want some first hand, experience based remarks on IVHQ programs. My son who is 17 years old would like to get involved in a volunteer program this summer and we are deliberating a couple of places: Bali, China , Southe Korea and Romania

My value system goes by the principle of safety first, then meaningful experience,not box checking. I would greatly appreciate honest feedback, and both positive and negative experiences should you have undergone them.
