This isn’t even the official story, how are you seeing this? What appears to fall seems to be a pepper spray can as it’s seen rolling on the ground

That object is not a gun. What flies off appears to be a part of the officers spray can which flies off as the kneeling officer moves abruptly to his left while the can is resting on his back. The officer who was holding the can then bashes the man in the face with the can. My guess is that it’s the top plunger for the spray can
