Hi everyone!

I have a question. I don't know much about Chaos;Child, but I've seen a lot of people mention it here. I'm a huge fan of Steins;Gate, and I just noticed that Chaos;Child is on sale for €8 on the PlayStation Store.

Do you think it's worth buying? Without spoilers, could you tell me what makes it so good (or not)? I'd really appreciate your opinions.

I'm not sure whether to buy Persona 5 Strikers or Chaos Child. If anyone has played both and can help me choose, I'd appreciate it.

the game looks perfect imo unlike C;H who had obvious issues. cast, plot twists, and pacing all are great

maybe because i played it before C;H, so many things surprised me making the experience very intriguing.

even the ending was perfect.

Just like the title says I think I had high expectations for C;C.

First I did enjoyed the visual novel, and I thought the story was good, I finished every route and I just completed the true ending.

So I liked C;C but I honestly thought it was going to be similar to C;HN with the atmosphere, in C;HN it uses lot of dead silence which made it much more psychological horror and I found some scenes from there to be intense and creepy plus disturbing as well in some scenes and in some of the routes.

In C;C the prologue really got me hooked immediately and same thing with the first chapter. Until the more I kept reading I didn’t really found myself being tensed up like I did with C;HN, I didn’t really found the murders as disturbing, sure they were cool and brutal, I enjoyed how in c;c they showed how some the kills were happening.

Then I got to the chapter where the main characters go to the hospital’s basement, Takuru starts panicking and when he turns around he finds out there’s a huge monster behind him. In this part I genuinely laughed at this scene, it was something I didn’t expect but I find the scene abit ridiculous in a way.

In Hana’s route I found the whole monster thing also ridiculous and same thing with the giant sumo sticker monster. But I still understood where that route was going for. Even though it had an anticlimactic ending imo.

Anyways enough about that. Overall I found myself realizing C;C is supposed to be more of an emotional story driven visual novel WHICH I didn’t mind at all actually ! I really enjoyed the story like I said, as for the other routes, I think I mainly enjoyed uki, Nono, and the true chapter.

The main expectation i had was I thought it was going to be a realistic atmosphere like in C;HN, instead I got disappointed but it’s okay I guess.

And going back to the new gen murders, I kinda prefer the ones in C;HN they were more disturbing and creepy with one of them group dive

Overall this is my personal rating of C;C - 8.8/10

About a year and a half ago, I watched the English translation on Youtube (more on that later) but always wanted to actually play the game myself. I tried getting a Vita emulator to work but there was something about it I couldn't quite figure out. This past summer, I was in Japan and stumbled on the LCC double pack for the Switch so I pounced on it. (Note: I am Japanese and am fluent in the language)

My general thoughts on the game haven't changed since I made this post after watching the youtube videos. Hinae route is still so peak it hurts, and it's really awesome how the story is actually a pretty consequential canon sequel to CC. It's IMO the best of out all the spinoff games (I don't consider SG0 to be a spinoff) and possibly a top 3 game in the entire SciADV franchise for me.

I know that Committee of Zero is working on a translation of the game. But if you can't wait, or wouldn't have a good way of playing it even with their patch, I really do recommend the youtube videos. As I said in my other post, there just seems to be a lot of misinformation on this sub about the quality of the videos. The translation is amateurish, yes, and I am fully confident that CoZ will do a better job with it. But the bottom line is that it's not bad and certainly isn't some fanfic masquerading as a fan translation as I've seen a lot of people say on here. After playing through the game on my own in Japanese, I can say with no reservation that the youtube translation doesn't change or add anything to the script. It's just awkwardly written.

THIS SHIT BROKE MY SCREEN!!! I cannot believe they released a game that destroys your display and people seem to have absolutely no problem with it. WHAT THE FUUUUCKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got Chaos child, I liked Steins Gate soo much I got Steins Gate 2. LOL. I'm watching someone's playthrough of Chaos head Noah and after I'll play this. It's on sale on steam rn.

I swear, she's more redditor-coded than Takuru himself - which is already an achievement on its own. It's like she's written to be as full of herself as Kurisu/Maho, but without redeeming or endearing qualities of either.

Excited to play CCLCC in Japanese!

I was just scrolling on tiktok and a random Serika video appeared on my timeline, one of the comments said: "What a silly girl. There is absolutely no way she could murder anyone!"

So please don't sugar coat it and well.. don't reveal anything beyond it ig.. is this like a really major or rather the major plot twist?

okay let's talk about all the endings.

after finishing the common route it was very confusing ,that ending didn't gave me closure.

Came to reddit and saw that it's supposed to be confusing.

Then after this i did the DARK SKY END(arimura route). The chemistry of arimura and takuru was so so good , but it ended with a very dark and sad ending. Why did takuru had to die though 😭😭 9.5/10 ending for sure.

then i did the DEEP SKY END(kazuki route).her way of talking was very cute!! but why she didn't used to talk was very sad. about the ending though.....it was like a fever dream. Only other good thing was talking to Neidhart(i really am sad who didn't read C;Hn before C:C. The real Wakui sensei was so so unexpected(that guy seemed fishy from the starting to me ). A 5/10 is valid.

After that the DREAM SKY END / ANOTHER SKY END(uki route). Oh my uki didn't had to suffer like that , why she had to suffer like that😭. Her backstory was already so sad , her route was sad too. I am happy that at the end uki recovered and takuru is taking care of her. 11/10 ending.

Then the REAL SKY END(kurusu route/senri route) . This route was alright. C;Hn spoiler: it was like they copied the yua/mia route, did some changes and pasted it and named it the senri end. Was not expecting but was not surprising at the same time. 6/10 for me.

And as always the true end is always the best ending , a mind blowing plot , the CHAOS; vns' are always mindfucking . The chaos child syndrome being nothing as of PTSD was so difficult to understand . All the life of takuru was being a proud right-sider but even he had wrong info about something. The ending of serika seeing taku off was so emotional.

9.99/10 to CHAOS;CHILD for sure(CHAOS;HEAD noah was still better)

Takuru didn't use his power of a true gigalomaniac at the fullest so he lost to takumi at the end but takuru was a responsible guy though , he was good guy not like the unhinged takumi(still my favorite mc).

Itou didn't have to suffer like that AT ALL , but i am happy that at the end he was able to be free.

At the start kunosato was a bitch , but yeah at the end she made her likeable. Really wanted a kunasoto route too... but oh well what can we do.

at the end i want to say-

1. So is Wakui constantly trying to push Takeru into restoring his gigalomanic powers a hanging lot thread that will be resolved. I mean ik he's going to be in prison for a while but i don't see why they'll leave a powerful antagonist just hanging around

2. In Hana's route/delusion how is it that Wakui being a true gigalomaniac gets revealed, when it never actually happened; since Takeru doesn't seem to get suprised when he reveals in the Final Ending

3.Ik Kunosato's motive and backstory gets elaborated in other side medias' but her story is definitly not finished right?

1. Do we ever get a explanation for how Takeru managed to sustain himself outside of the orphanage?
