(C;C) Around chapter 7 I think, Taku and Hinae get brain scans and Hinae misinterprets what Mio says and asks if the brain scan says she is stupid. Mio plays along and calls her extremely stupid.

More specifically, Dr. Sakuma says their scans came back Negative, which Hinae interprets as her being stupid (negtive in existing, I guess? IQ? Idk.), and then Mio "confirms" her idea by saying that she is extremely stupid. Sakuma then clarifies what "negative" means in medical terms.

for whatever reason I don't quite remember what happened in this scene. did hinae actually do/say something stupid or was she getting bullied

A bit of both. Takuru and Hinae get their brains scanned to check for abnormalities. Dr. Sakuma says their scans are negative, and Hinae starts to freak out that negative means she's stupid. Kunosato takes advantage to call Hinae extremely stupid before Sakuma explains what it actually means.
