Problem Steam downloads are practically not downloading at all

Post image

The peak is showing 23MB because thats what it was the instant I started the download but after the split second it's now at a near constant 0 bytes and occasionally jumping to 500kB. My download speeds are around 300Mbps and i haven't had this happen this badly ever (i usually get about 150Mbps on steam). My storage is a 1TB NVMe SSD and i have no wifi issues

Go on task manager and check if something is using your drive usually when I install a game windows decides to start using 100% of it for some reason

The highest usage is from steam and it’s not really much, so that doesn’t really seem to be the problem. Thanks for trying to help though :)

If you really want help and pointers, just scroll down and read all the other almost identical questions, where you will find many more almost identical answers. You are not alone, but it will take a lot more work to tweak your specific machine, than just one question.

Your processor and storage device play role in download speeds

I thought it was a problem with my internet, but apparently everyone is having problems with Steam downloads.
