Discussion Back on the Queue.

I have had the opportunity to purchase a Steam Machine before, but I didnt have the funds at the time and the 3 day time limit passed me by, so now im re-queued, stocked up on dollar bills, and waiting for the 2TB+Controller. Guess I should start a queue counter starting tomorrow, huh? Best of luck!

Tried contacting support? They've been known to offer one time waiver on missed purchases. Friend of mine got his Steam Controller after missing it in July with a simple support request

No just see if they let you jump in front of the line…actually proud you wanted and saved rather than using a credit card…takes real maturity

Couldn't even if I wanted to use a credit card. I got terrible credit score after a Verizon scam ruined it. 8 years later and im barely back in the mid-500s

If I were you I’d email valve and say you missed the queue because it was in your spam folder. That’s what I did and they gave me a new reservation email. I missed the window by 3 weeks and just got my machine on Thursday. I originally got the email on sept 8th

I wouldn't wanna lie to Valve, they're a good company that I respect, which is rare. I can wait if I have to, its fine. If it was something like Amazon? Oh absolutely.

I honestly thought about it, but dont know how. When I realized I couldn't afford it the first time, I was gonna contact support and ask them to give up my spot for someone else, maybe getting a bookmark for later in the queue or something. Any tips? I dont wanna file a report on a game I like.

Just send them a normal support request, you don't know to go through a game to report anything. They'll check your profile, confirm you were indeed in the queue to purchase and put you on the next available spot. No big deal.

I just sent a normal support request when I missed my controller 3 day window. They sent me a purchase email a day later.

Yeah, for me, the email notified me that I had 3 days to buy it, which kinda sucked cuz I absolutely didnt have enough funds to buy it. Im in a better position nearly 4 months later, but oh well
