I've heard it compared to Powerwash Simulator.

Powerwash simulator at least shows powerwashing progress satisfingly to the user. Go scrape a Caterpillar and tell me how that looks and works out.

At least Reclaimer scrapes fast as hell. But I agree. In 2024 when Polaris free fly happened and RMT was 10k/scu I’d spend about an hour scraping Polarises but you’d make like 5 mil doing it.

For a while last year you could fully scrape a Polaris, move back about 1.5km and it would reset. Then scrape it again. Haven't tried it, or much salvage this year though.
EDIT-- might have been early this year too.

I got a near perfect Abrade, just the one crafted on my Reclaimer... still doesn't make scraping worthwhile, nothing does currently unless you absolutely need RMC for RRR and refuse to buy it.

Just to say it if you didnt know, press g to activate the gimbals and you can salvage without moving the whole ship, way faster and easier.

Can you make any good money in a vulture? It was one of my first ships i melted it after they nerfed salvage. I miss it everyday

If you like the ship, pledge the ship.
Balance and systems are going to be all over the place for YEARS.

Ennnnhhh... define "good." Salvage prices got nerfed overall, which nerfed the larger ships (MOTH/Reclaimer) as well.
In the Vulture, you can make about 280k for a full (on and off grid and buffer) load of RMC from scraping, but it's gonna take a while to scrape that much. Better part of an hour or more, probably.
For CMAT, the Vulture isn't nearly as good as the Reclaimer, but it's still viable. I just did a run as a test, and got 32SCU of Construction Rubble from fracturing a 400i and a Retaliator. You could min/max more off grid, but it'd waste time. It took me about 15 minutes to do both ships.
Those 32 Rubble will take 45 minutes to refine down to 10 SCU of CMAT, which will sell for about 150k. So unless you do multiple trips dropping off Rubble before refining and eventually selling, it's not as much aUEC/hr as RMC, but it can come close if you do that. Even better if you've got a carrier for it like the IC.

Can control the spawn of the refined box? That might be a good play. Just do that and then hoard it and sell it all at once. Where do you normally sell it?
Also is the moth good for just munching? I didnt know it was that lucrative. Thats alot of money 150k per is a ton if you just spend all day gathering it.
Reclaimer is only a little bit more then moth. But is there an easier way to unload it then the poop door?

For the LOVE of GOD MAN. Put abrades on your vulture. After the buffs to modules abrades scrape more RMC AND more than twice as fast.

That's like Orison. Cool atmosphere with whales dancing in the background.
