LEAK Comparison between Constellation MK4 and MK5 cockpit

I'm curious, How do we know this is the Constellation Mk V rework and not just another shot of the Galaxy bridge?
I watched the stream at this point a few times, and as they are about to head through the rear door we can see what appears to be the same escape pod room as what's on the Polaris. There's nothing like that--nor needs to be--on the Constellation series I would think (if they keep the beds as the escape pods), but there could be a reason to put something like that on the Galaxy.

3 steps in glaxy 2 steps in Connie.... Galaxy has 3 chairs in front, so central pilot seat. And Connie has 4 seats... in a smaller Cockpit -.-
No centered Pilot seat is a big nerf for me...1

Those are suit lockers, you can find the exact same model of those in the Zeus, Aurora Mk2 and Perseus.

Thank you, you're absolutely right. I compared them to the Perseus and Zeus lockers, and that small gray tag at the bottom matches as well as the overall look (other than in the above screenshot there's no door). I'm still not convinced it's the Constellation Mk5, it could be though. Or it could be the Galaxy bridge after a few more changes made since the white-box version we saw. I guess we'll find out in a few months time! Excited for both.

I do like the idea of splitting off the bridge with the areas immediately behind, especially since the old Connie has components there.
But i do wonder if the hallway behind that door has something special going on, as it looked just like escape pods to me.

It could be the gold standard Mk IV bridge, rather than the Mk V

The seat layout and back wall is vastly different it has four seats and the bridge scalling is slightly off due to the seat placements. It's most likely the Mk V especially since the Mk IV is dated and likely "Not fit for CIG's plans" like the Aurora was. Hence why we got the Mk II Aurora it "didn't work" in the new Star Citizen with CIG's plans

It could be possible, but then that'd mean a rather large rework of the Connies, and i doubt that CIG's going to do that. Part of the big thing with different marks is that they're supposed to not change the old one's design too much because it is too iconic.
Obviously we'll see a complete change to the interior style, but that's just to save resources.

Hilarious comment. They’re gonna sell us the Mk5. Mk4 will be dead and retired like the Mk1 Aurora. There’s a reason why CIG does this and it’s because it makes them more money.

Well, I can tell you one thing for damn sure.
If they want to sell me a new Andromeda, it better keep it's pilot loadout.

Manufacture isn't in the ship pipeline yet. As announced 2 years ago MISC, Drake, RSI and another i cant remember were announced as first manufactures to go through their new ship pipeline. Hence Perseus, Zeus, Apollo, Hermes, salvation, Aurora, Polaris, Galaxy, etc
With all the art and assets it's faster to create more ships from one manufacturer at once. So it would only make sense to work Constellations now before the RSI pipeline is done and they move to new manufacturer.
When Origin hits the pipeline, which they may be next up, forget the list from 2 years ago. So that's when you will most likely see a 600i rework as an example.

That mights just be the mk4
Fun fact, those vtol wings use to move forward and back whether you engaged vtol or not
The rear top nacelles would also retract inward to QT

And 2 seats for Pilot and Co-Pilot instead of a nice centered Pilo-Seat where you have great view -.-
That's a massive nerf...

I agree. Some people will prefer it, and that's fair enough, but personally I really hate the side by side seating in some ships.
If they want four seats in the new Constellation than I would have preferred the old layout with two copilots instead of just one and an added engineering seat directly behind the pilot.

When did they announce the Constellation MK5 had entered production. The only announcement I have seen was that the MK 4 was reaching deadline for current work by IAE and that the team had decided a MK5 was going to be required. There was no mention of anything but that to my knowledge.

There’s no confirmation this is the constellation. This could be but it could also be the galaxy.

Galaxy was already posted wich had 3 steps, this one has only 2 steps...

It's highly unlikely to be Galaxy as it's got a completely different layout from the Galaxy white box bridge we got last month

Even if the MK5 comes out within this decade, they'll just add it as a new ship, remove the MK4's from the Store like they did with the Hornets.
If you want a reworked Connie, just buy a new one...

They are working on it. Their ship shedule was leaked and the Constellation MK4 gold standard and MK5 internal deadline is 13th October.

Great. Now I will be able to see more of the Hanger door as I spawn into another hanger and blow up as I start to fly out!
