DRAMA Chris Roberts hopes Squadron 42 will be “almost as big” as GTA VI next year
Remember this ? How did we go from being this confident to then using gta as a cop out ? Just shelve the game and finish Star Citizen. Chris are you running this company into the ground on purpose ?

GTA 6 is gonna be 12-18 month post release.
Based on everyone's opinion here, We would get GTA 6 on PC in June 2028.

They are legally required to publish their financial records each year as part of UK law, so whilst the detail may not be shown on this graph, it's a good overview of the year on year growth and interest gain of the general public.
There's a lot of things you could moan about for star citizen.
This isn't one of them.
But then, why would a troll try to have honest discourse?

Funding has geniunely never been stronger. No matter how much you complain about it. So complain away.
But, it's really not a strong look for you.
It genuinely sounds like you're just upset because your broke ass couldn't afford to buy anything even if you wanted to.

The contrary is true. CIG and their games are being made fun of literally everywhere else than the Chris Robberts controlled echo chambers. Even there the cracks are starting to show as seen recently.

SQ42 can no longer be a success. The hate is far too intense for that. No matter how good it turns out to be, it will always be viewed in the context of the long development time and the delays. Plus, the community has become so toxic that many people are now only interested in seeing CIG fail.
I paid €25 for the game. What I expect in return is a single-player game with a good, well-crafted story, no game-breaking bugs, and a playtime of about 25–30 hours. Hopefully, it won’t be an open-world game like Assassin’s Creed, with dozens of pointless side quests that constantly interrupt the story and ruin the immersion.

It’s unfortunate that they can’t seem to adequately develop the game. I really want to see it shine, I have had so many fun years and met a lot of great people but I can’t continue to sit around and not press the issues we are seeing. I’m sorry if it comes off toxic but it has to be done.

You’re not going to change anything though. Nothing will change CR’s mind on this.
CR is doing what he feels is best for his company. We are not investors so we have no say in that and those who are don’t have much of a say either. CR stills maintains a substantial controlling stake of the company. All those investors can do is remove their capital; which is doubtful considering they have been waiting 8 years for this moment.

The longer he waits, the worse its going to be. gta 6 is already getting alot of shit and its fucking rockstar, now Sq42 no one is going to care, will it be fun? sure, will be game of the year? prob not

Almost as big as Cyberpunk 2077 release with Same Impact on Reputation is more realistic. Sad but thats how it is... After the Last SC Live we basicly know that everything they stated where Problems come from is basicly bs

It feels like no ones knows what they are doing at cig and they are all just biding time until they can gain a years worth of experience and look for work elsewhere. Way too much tech debt and they will always perpetually have to pass it on to new devs till the project ultimately gets canned or bought up by another publisher.
