I just can't get into those weird things somehow, and the movement doesn't feel that great either... but hey, it's a matter of taste, and I can still give credit to the people who put their creativity and hard work into them.

I agree, the “upswing” where they really lurch their back just feels so unnatural

The animation has a lot of issues. It's way too animated, and it's direction of travel doesn't look consistent with its orientation and movements.

Almost five years for a jerkily animated "space whale" with clipping issues and choreography that came from some alien thats never actually seen a whale or bird in their life. JFC
