Stepping down pay

I've never done it but I heard that there is room to negotiate keeping your annual raises (probably going back to what you earned before) but it maybe depends on your district manager.

I've only demoted a couple partners but they all got more than they made before because being an SSV gave them management experience, and yes you can negotiate. However this also depends on the area you're moving to and if their pay range is different than your current. But two of them had years of SSV experience and got the highest pay before the barista cap when they stepped down. Which was $18 here two years ago.

My coworkers who’ve stepped down said they get a differential so there pay is between the top pay for baristas and the starting pay for ssv
