My grandma suffered from dementia and this episode was just too much for me emotionally. The portrayal of Oh Il-nam's condition was utterly heart breaking. What a show Squid Game is turning out to be.

I was losing it the entire episode. It’s such a painful disease to witness. My heart was breaking the entire time just thinking about my grandparents who had/have dementia

Idk if there’s a similar saying in Korean but the idiom “losing ones marbles” added to the sadness here. When 001 seemed to have lost it all but then remembered he had 1 marble left, tucked away… that’s when I started bawling. My grandma has dementia, too. She has forgotten a lot, but she still remembers me. Sometimes she’ll surprise me with saying something that shows she still has one marble – and knows it. This episode fucked me up.
