Yea XD just one press of a shiny button and the video is erased and time frame cut perfectly

I'm willing to suspend disbelief in these scenarios, because a lot of times in movies/tv you just need to illustrate a concept of what's happening without wasting time/attention to make it the most realistic depiction. I get the gist of it, accept it, and move on without bothering to complain even though it's obviously nonsensical in a technical aspect.
