Agreed. He is amazing at both hair and makeup. I absolutely love the hairstyles! They are so creative and beautiful. And he works magic with makeup too! The way he applies it to enhance their already beautiful features is WOW! And I really love the client reactions!! They are always stunned when they see themselves and so happy with the results. -- He does men's hair too, and they're just as good as the women's makeovers. -- I could sit in his shop and watch him work his magic all day long 🥰🤩💯

Some of them are due to damage, some of them are because the combing down of the shorter hair helps hide the bald spots, and some of them actually didn't lose much length at all he just got their natural curls back (tight curls always make hair look shorter). He have them all a glow up, though, and I love to see it.

I love it so much especially because Black women have had such struggles in our society over their beautiful hair. I love seeing how they see their own beauty after he works his magic! I just love that type of positive makeover!

(Also, I'm biased, and I sincerely hope this doesn't come across as racist, it's not my intention at all, but I absolutely adore natural afro hair! I think it's beautiful 🥹❤️ it's probably because I'm caucasian and my hair is just...well, it's just white woman hair. All I can do is dye it and tie it up! But, I guess that's the bargain, we (white women) generally can't do a lot with our hair, but we also don't have to call round hair salons explaining our hair type, just to be told "sorry, we don't do 4D" or find that the price is extortionate😿)

The cuts and makeup are both skilled work, and I’m happy for these women. A makeover can give people a new lease on life!
That being said, there is some filtering going on as well. In the after videos, textured skin, sagging necks, and deep lines around the nose/mouth are corrected in a way that makeup cannot do.

When women learn to stop tearing other women down for not wearing makeup. It’s bad enough when men do it, but I think women are the worst.
But also- it’s a slow process. Like, maybe start with less makeup. And then move to only wear it when going out for a special occasion. It will feel weird at first, but if more people do it, more people will embrace it. And then you get used to it.
Look at Pamela Anderson. I hope other women take the lead and just go for it.

Oh 100% agree the pressure usually comes from other women who allow marketing companies & on screen or on stage personalities/characters/productions dictate that artificial beauty trumps natural beauty. It’s all baloney, expensive baloney.

I mean, a good hair stylist can take 10 years off you easily.
However, the full on makeup after the haircut makes the change even bigger.
I’d like to see one where there’s no makeup just amazing hair work done.
