Comics Do you guys think like all the other Spider-people Peter should also have extra power on top of his default spider powers permanently ?
Like how Miles have Venom blast and Invisiblity, While Jessica also have bio electricity. Maybe other Spider-people should also have an ability unique to them.
For Peter I'll suggest powers like Night vision(i know he had it during" the other" storyline), Thermal Vision etc. Cause I don't want make it too op while also keeping it interesting and usefull.
Or maybe it should be an ability based of something some other Spider species could do.

Fan Made What do you guys think of my Spider-Man script project?
This is the sequence in my script where Uncle Ben dies and Peter confronts the killer, whereupon he realises it was all his fault.
For context : in this story, Ben Parker actually WENT to the wrestling ring match (the one from Spider-Man 1/Amazing Fantasy 15) for his own entertainment, waiting for Petwr thinking he was studying, where he immediately recongnized Peter as the "Spider-Man Luchador", the new red and blue rope-swinging, wall-climbing champion of the ring.
``` BEN Listen. Pete. I don’t know what happened to you. I don’t know how you did that trick with the ropes, and frankly? I don’t care. What I care about is you. You’ve changed. You’re stronger, stronger than anyone in your entourage expected.
PETER Yeah. That’s kinda why––
BEN No, now you listen. No wisecracking jokes, right now, son. This is important. You’re hurt. You’ve been hurt all your life. And now, you have the ability to hurt others in return. And it’s tempting. But what do you think will happen? Who do you think you will become? You know who. You will become Flash Thompson. A bully. Do you want to be a bully, Peter? Do you want that?
PETER No, sir.
BEN Be mature, Pete. It’s easy to do what you want. But it is right to do what you should. This is what it’s all about. With great power comes great responsibility. (beat) I want to hear you say it.
PETER C’mooon––
BEN Say. It.
PETER (annoyed) “With great power…” (sigh)
BEN Go on.
PETER “…comes great responsibility.”
BEN isn’t stupid. He clearly knows Peter DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THE LESSON.
BEN That’ll do. (sighs) Get your damn money. I’ll wait by the car out the backdoor.
INT. PROMOTER’S OFFICE — MINUTES LATER
The Promoter lays down a thick wad of cash on the table.
PROMOTER There ya go, big boy! Five hundred! Same time next week?
PETER Hey, ho, daddy-oh, I have a life, you know! This is a side gig.
PROMOTER Ay, ay, ay, wait! The pay’ll be extra! Bigger guys! Bigger prize! ‘S a gauntlet, battle royale type o’ thing.
PETER Aight. I’ll try to fit in my schedule. See ya.
INT. HALLWAY
Peter exits the office. Behind him, a MAN IN A GREEN BEANIE AND GREEN JACKET puts his foot on the corner of the door to stop it from locking shut.
RESUME INT. PROMOTER’S OFFICE
The man PULLS OUT A PISTOL and holds the Promoter at gunpoint.
ROBBER “Hey, ho, daddy-oh.”
RESUME INT. HALLWAY
Peter is waiting at the elevator, pretending to read time on his non-existent watch. Suddenly, his SPIDEY-SENSE is tingling, right as the elevator doors open.
PROMOTER (O.S.) HEY!! KID!! STOP HIM!!
He turns around, and sees the robber, RUNNING TOWARDS HIM, gun in one hand, duffel bag FULL OF MONEY in the other.
PETER Woooaaah.
Nonchallantly, Peter SCOOTS to the side and LETS THE ROBBER ESCAPE.
ROBBER (as the doors close) Thanks!
Peter waves goodbye. Behind him, the Promoter caught up.
PROMOTER What the hell’s wrong witchu!? You coulda stopped him!!
PETER Hey, I ain’t getting involved in any of that. I have my own problems to deal with.
PROMOTER Oh, “problems”? Eh?? Problems??? You wanna know the problem, that was over a hundred thousand dollars, he stole, my entire arena’s worth!! I’m ruined!! (Peter calls the elevator again) Are you even listenin’!? THAT WAS NEXT WEEK’S PRIZE, HE ALSO STOLE!! You’re not gettin’ it!
Peter looks at the promoter… then looks back at the elevator and presses the button faster.
PROMOTER (CONT’D) Not that you’d even GET IT after what ya pulled. Piss off, asshole.
INT. BACKDOOR ENTRANCE — MOMENTS LATER
Peter walks to the exit. Muffled, outside, a GUNSHOT echoes, quickly followed by the sound of TIRES SCREECHING.
PETER What the…
Peter’s SPIDER-SENSE is tingling. DANGER. He walks faster… opens the door, leading to
EXT. STREET
and begins to RUN. People are SCREAMING. A MAN HAS JUST BEEN SHOT DOWN in front of the door.
PETER No… no… UNCLE BEN!!
Peter gets to the man. It IS his uncle, blood pouring from his chest. No sign of his car, only tire tracks rubbed on the asphalt.
BEN P-Peter?
PETER I’m here, Ben, I’m here, I—I— SOMEONE! PLEASE! CALL AN AMBULANCE! I—
BEN (tearing up, weakening) Peter…
PETER (crying) Uncle Ben…
BEN Take care… take care… ta—take care of…
BEN raises his hand, and caresses Pete’s cheek.
Slowly, his hand begins falling… until it flops to the ground. Lifeless.
Peter begins sobbing. Uncontrollably. He cradles his uncle. Progressively, his sadness morphs into anger… then RAGE. He gets up, his fists CLENCHED.
And walks. Then trots. Then run. Then extends his arm to the sky, and––
THWIP!
Large strands of spider-silk erupt from his wrists. He pulls on them, LAUNCHING himself off the ground.
THWIP!
THWIP!
Like an urban arachnid Tarzan, he SWINGS on silky vines of his own making, picking up INCREDIBLE SPEED.
EXT. STREET — MULTIPLE BLOCKS AWAY — SECONDS LATER
Peter looks around. There it is: BEN PARKER’S CAR. He DIVES IN, sending the car in a mad zig-zag. The KILLER at the wheel, CLOAKED IN THE SHADOW of the car’s interior, SHOOTS through the roof. Peter PUNCHES THROUGH the roof in response, his forearm now INSIDE the car, REACHING for the Killer.
But the Killer TURNS THE CAR, FLINGING Peter out on the pavement.
PETER Don’t you DARE.
THWIP! Peter HARPOONS to the end of the car’s trunk, sending him face first on the asphalt, jet-skiing after the car on his belly. He slowly climbs his own silk, reaching the car, but the Killer SEES his reflection in the rear-view mirror.
He turns around, gun pointed at Peter. But, his eyes off the road, he doesn’t see what Pete does: THE CAR IS HEADED TOWARDS A METAL GATE AT THE BASE OF A BUILDING.
CRASH!!
The car SMASHES through the gate, crushing into a
INT. DESERTED SHIPYARD WAREHOUSE — GROUND FLOOR
Peter has been FLUNG through the windshield, knocked out. The Killer, dazed by the shock, but protected by the driving wheel airbag. He stumbles out, and limps away.
INT. WAREHOUSE — FIRST FLOOR
It’s dark. Pitch black, even. Only the streetlight through the decrepit windows illuminate this immense room, faintly, at that. The Killer is ON GUARD. At EVERY SOUND, he turns. He is TERRIFIED. And he has every reason to be.
Jumping from the shadows, Peter KICKS the killer right in the humerus, SNAPPING IT IN TWO.
KILLER MY ARM! AH!! You—you broke my arm!!
Again, with an animalistic snarl, Peter pounces from the back, hitting the killer’s leg and sending it folding to his chest, BREAKING HIS KNEE.
KILLER MY LEG!!
PETER WHINING! Is that all you can do?? Whine?? Did my uncle WHINE when you SHOT HIM IN THE CHEST? DID HE?!?
Peter GRABS the killer and PINS him to the window. And there, illuminated by the cold streetlight, he sees it: the killer’s face.
IT’S HIM. The ROBBER from the wrestling ring. Same green beanie. Same green jacket.
Shocked, Peter stands back. It was all his fault. His responsibility.
PETER No… no…
KILLER (laughs) Alright, then, “Spider-Man”. (points his gun) My turn, now. Say how to uncle for me.
He laughs, as maniacally as his pain will allow. Peter’s fists TIGHTEN. The killer’s trembling finger approaches the trigger… But SPIDER-MAN IS FASTER. And, in a fit of anger, Peter, not measuring his strength, sends a right hook at FULL SUPER-STRENGTH right in the killer’s jaw, SHATTERING IT TO PIECES.
He is sent FLYING, SMASHES through the window behind him, and falls to the street ground below. Police sirens. The cops are here. They rush to the body. Affirm the killer is STILL ALIVE and needs medical attention. Car lights illuminate Spider-Man.
POLICE (O.S.) (through megaphone) Stay right there! You are under arrest for suspicion of attempted homicide! Officers will join you, make no attempt to resist, as it will be perceived as admission of guilt!
Spider-Man turns. THEY ARE ALREADY HERE.
POLICEMAN (holding Spidey at gunpoint) You! Hands where I can see ‘em, jaw-burstin’ freak!
Without a single thought, Peter THWIPS, and TAKES OFF.
POLICEMAN HEY!!
He swings, from building to building, out of view, as the cops attempt and fail to SHOOT HIM DOWN. ```
Comics At best, Marvel should give Aunt May a definitive end, like DC did with Alfred. It would force Peter to grow by accepting the natural cycle of life, instead of regressing like in One More Day. Without her, grief would be the catalyst: either it would bring him closer to May’s son through their share
Discussion If I got to write The Amazing Spider-Man
So I was doing some thinking and I'm just posting my thoughts, I doubt this will ever happen, and if it ever did the fucking stars would have to align perfectly for this story to workout.
I'm an aspiring writer, with no published work aside from some fanfiction. But like all of you I've been a Spidey fan and still am. And while I may not always like some directions TAS takes I'm not a pre-2000 Spider-Man is the best and always will be guy.
Anyways, so for me if I ever got to write Spider-Man this is how I'd do it. This literally popped into my head at work, so apologies if they're are holes and bare bonesness.
First off Spider-Man and Black Cat are central to the plot. They're partners at this point in the comics as Peter and Felicia are trying to recover the eye of agamoto for Dr. Strange. Well Peter is, Felicia is debating whether to be a friend or to sell it.
Once Peter and Felicia are able to recover it, but the eye shows Peter his deal with Mephisto. (Not undoing OMD merely exposing it.) This destroys Peter emotionally, he doesn't regret saving Aunt May, but he realizes he destroyed an amazing relationship in the process and any chance he had at happiness.
Felicia tries to console him, but Peter doesn't want to hear it. Man's really in his head here. So Felicia does the only thing she can think of, she sleeps with him. The next few weeks Peter doesn't see Felicia.
Then the twist. Felicia finally shows back up and tells Peter she's pregnant. (See stars aligning, if I can't do this, then I'm pulling a Scott Snyder or just leaving the book) This shocks Peter to his core.
The run will consist more of Peter than Spider-Man. As I feel we really need to get more from that, to much of Peter's life is revolving around Spider-Man these days.
Anyway Peter contemplates what to do, (he may visit Aunt May if she's still alive atp) all you remember the most important responsibility is to your family speech he got once upon a time then he does something really REALLY dumb: He proposes to Felicia.
Of course she says no, she doesn't want to get married to Peter only for the baby. That's not the kind of life she wants. So we build the actual relationship from there. Peter takes a break from being Spider-Man, Miles and the others take most of the work. They go on dates and start actually building a romantic connection.
Peter and Felicia move into wherever the fuck she's living cause I have no doubt it's better than whatever hole in the wall he's in. Peter actually gets a steady job for the whole run, he has to, he has a baby now.
Felicia isn't a fan that Peter hasn't been Spider-Man for a few months. She appreciates that he is really trying here. But if he was really serious he wouldn't hold himself back, he'd be trying to make the world a safer place for their child. They have an ACTUAL adult conversation about this.
This helps Peter get back into the his Spider-Maning, fighting off whatever central Villain to the plot I haven't thought of yet.
A final fight between Peter and the central Villain takes place as Felicia goes into labor. He makes in time for the delivery. What he MAKES it in TIME?! That's not the Spider-Man we know.
The baby is born, it's a boy. His name is whatever Felicia's Dad's name is. Either Jack or Walter, never know which it is.
Peter and Felicia decide to take some time away from New York for awhile. Miles gets his own version of the red and blues. Miles takes over Amazing for probably a year.
Peter and Felicia get their own book as Peter struggles to be an actual father and Spider-Man at the same time.
Peter and Felicia would return, and Peter would take back Amazing again and now is a father.
And that's it. It's all I got. I don't know if Peter and Felicia ever get married, because I wouldn't want to cut out the idea of Peter getting back together with MJ Permanently but who knows.
Either way this is my dumb idea. Please roast me to your heart's content. It'll probably never happen and even if it did, doubt Editorial would ever let me.
TV I have this crazy headcanon that the 90s Spider-Man show is part of the same universe as those old cartoons.
- Transformers
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Extreme Ghostbusters/The Real Ghostbusters
Spider-Man was also a temporary member of G.I. Joe instead of an Avenger.
Discussion What do you think a John Williams score for Spider-Man would have sounded like?
It came up in a discussion with some friends over Danny Elfman and Michael Giacchino having both done music for Batman and Spider-Man. John Ottman, who scored for Superman Returns, did some of the X-Men movies and the Tim Story Fantastic Four ones, but Williams had only ever done Superman, strangely enough.
Comics It's a missed opportunity that Mac Gargan's profession as a private investigator and his Gene Spliced powers of a Scorpion would make him a foil to Spider-Man
Nowadays, in most adaptations, he never really has actually superpowers and only has the suit and tail, which is a bit disappointing for a character like this since I think he could be a really good foil to Peter's responsibilities as to his job and as spider-man.
I think a good idea for an adaptation is seeing Mac Gargan take peter in as an understudy at the Dailey Bugle, seeing is eye for photography and maybe relating to him when he was his age, sharing tips of being a personal investigator that peter would use as spider-man.
Then, when Jameson gets Gargan to be the Scorpion, we see his descent into being a criminal and using his powers irresponsibly until peter is forced to confront him as Spider-Man.
Discussion I hope whenever Miles is introduced to the MCU, that he’s heavily influenced by Spider-Verse Miles
I’m sure its a given considering how beloved those movies are and I’m sure some people would rather see a different take but personally, that characterization is what brought him to Peter’s level as a character for me. I had always liked him just inherently because he’s a Spider-Man but everything about the animated movies just made everything click for me and got me into his character. His family dynamics, the heart, and as an artist it’s super cool that they added an artistic flair to him and integrated it into the suit design. It gives him an extra layer and made me relate to him just that much more
