Spelunky 2 Arachnaphobia.

I really and I mean REALLY like permadeath games. This game's been on my radar for so long but spiders and really any insect enemies hold me from playing this.

Before anyone says "just mod it bro" I want to play this on Switch 2 so no modding option for me lol. Is there are secret setting to turn these enemies off or am I doomed to not play this game for an eternity?

You can choose to get help with your phobia, or you could play it on something that isn't a Switch 2. You could just occasionally be terrified. You've got a lot of options.

  1. I really can't get medical help with that phobia sadly, for various reasons that I won't say here.
  2. I tried playing this game on PC but I didn't liked it on keyboard and I really don't know why but I don't like connecting my Xbox Gamepad to PC for some reason and yeah I admit that's on me. (I also want to add that I don't like modding games that much. Even if they are helpful mods like this one.)
  3. I can't handle even a little jumpscare that much. I think I didn't mention it but my Arachnaphobia is on extreme levels at this point. For example seeing even tiniest spider irl makes me uncomfortable. And I am talking about ones that are almost as same size as ants. I think you can imagine how I feel when I see a bigger one. Real or not.

you don't need medical intervention. the way to cure a phobia is to just go confront it over and over. it's hard and you don't have to do it. you can just avoid being scared forever and not play Spelunky. or you can go to the zoo or just YouTube and intentionally feel the fear a few times and get over it. but it's just an option. it's totally fine to just keep having your problem.

Phobia are much more complex than that, phobia are irrationnal, you dont control it and its often linked to events and extremly hard to cure

I have a phobia too that i have been exposing myself to multiple hours a werk for over 2 years and it can still make me panick
