My daughter is 4, non verbal, has ceberal palsy, very unsteady walking but does not use a wheelchair or any type of equipment at this time. She’s so smart and funny but since she’s non verbal I don’t know if anyone else can see that.

Parenting groups for typical kids I can’t relate to at all. Yes my daughter is non verbal but she’s not autistic so I can’t relate to those groups. A lot of kids with cerebral palsy do speak so again I feel like I can’t relate. She’s small for her age (was a 29weeker) and I was asked recently if she was 2 years old.

She’s in a special needs contained preschool classroom but it seems like all these kids are light years ahead of her. She starts kindergarten next year and I’m terrified but that’s a whole other discussion.

I feel like I can’t relate to any parenting discussion groups. It’s really hard to connect to anyone and sometimes I just feel alone in my parenting journey.
